RE: Harmon BRIGGS
I guess some people have nothing better to do than complain! They must not be a very happy person. I am sorry to hear that. I will post the memorial and when you have time you can post the picture. Thank you for helping others with their research. Happy Thanksgiving. Tricia

Harmon BRIGGS
Crabtree Cemetery. I noticed when I looked at the picture of Harmon's memorial there is also listed an Oliver on the headstone that has not been posted as a memorial. I was wondering if you would like to post it. I am very glad I found Harmon and didn't know about Oliver. It says he died overseas and it was probably in WWII and he may not even be buried in this cemetery but it still might be helpful to another researcher. Thank you for the pictures you are taking. I love this site!

L Wallace Roper
The Roper that you were looking for at Cress Hill Cemetery is at the rear, right side next to the little road that goes to the gate on the right. It's the 2nd row from the back, last on the right. I have a listing for the Cemetery. It lists him as L Wallace Roper.

Cindy, I noticed you were investigating Wright cemetery in Montgomery Co., IL last year. Did you ever find out anything more about it, such as, is it accessible or what condition it might be in? Thanks for any information you might have.

William and Eliza Kennedy Grave Marker
Hi Cindy: You were gracious enough to take a photo of the grave marker of William and Eliza Kennedy at the Asbury Cemetery, near Raymond, IL. this past February. I did not notice until today that you also took a photo of the opposite side of the marker which has "Kennedy" on it and which you also offered to send to me. Is it possible you might still have this second photo and could send it to me? I would be most grateful. Thank You. John E. Bartos

Henry Leslie Kennedy Grave Marker
Hi Cindy: I spoke to the man who keeps the Raymond Cemetery grave records and I think what we may have is the name is recorded somewhat differently. I think the cemetery record for Leslie Kennedy is for the person I am seeking (complete name is Henry Leslie Kennedy). Here is what I found:

Kennedy, Leslie 1862 1911 Sec. 1 Blk 17 Grave 2

These dates match the dates I have in my database so I believe this is the person I am seeking. Also his wife Hattie Ann(Waters) Kennedy is buried in the grave next to him (Leslie), so this further confirms we have the correct person.

Whether he/they have a grave marker or not the record keeper could not say, but he feels this is the correct grave for (Henry) Leslie Kennedy.

I would be most grateful if when you are next at Raymond Cemetery you might look at Section 1, Block 17, Graves 2 and 3. Thank you so much.

Henry Leslie Kennedy
Hi Cindy: Thank you for trying to locate a grave marker for Henry Leslie Kennedy. The information I have for him came from a person who has access to Asbury Cemetery records.

Here is what he reported on 20 Dec 2006. His father has recorded grave marker readings at the Asbury Cemetery, and he says: We have records of a William and Eliza Kennedy buried in section 5, lot 99. William 1814 -1874, and Eliza 1822 - 1895. He also listed several Kennedy family members who:"There are several names in section 1, lot 31 and lot 17" Here are the names he sent: Kennedy , H.L.

I deleted the other Kennedy names he sent.

I believe the H.L.Kennedy he reported is indeed Henry Leslie Kennedy. It is possible he never had a stone or possibly it may have been vandalized or ??

I will try to locate more information about Section 1, Lots 31 and 17 and see who is buried there. Thank you again for your effort to get a photo for me. I'm sorry it has been so difficult for you. Best Regards, John E. Bartos

Eliza Jane Fogleman
Israel's wife is Eliza Jane Fogleman born Jan 27, 1821 died Sept 12, 1895. So if you have these dates for Jane that is her.

Are there any Meisenheimer's buried there? I am looking for one of my great grandmothers by the name of Mary Meisenheimer Nash who was born Feb 14, 1807 and died Dec 9, 1848 in Macoupin County, Illinois. Her father is John Meisenheimer who was married to Mary Fogleman.

Thank you for any help.
