I am so glad to hear the photo helps your family history. I will be uploading photos for the entire cemetery (where markers exist) over the next couple weeks in case you have any other relatives. Best of luck! James

I'm working on the family of Stearns. Is that someone in your tree? You have a lot of good info.

Of course feel free. I also have a photo of a stone for Lorraine Yungermann that I haven't uploaded yet as I still have to create a memorial, that is someone in the family correct?
Added by Keri on Sep 29, 2013 8:44 AM
I am referencing memorial numbers 101562682 and 101562699 if that helps. They have the same birth and death dates

Hi Cheryl, found the graves of Tillie, Paul and Louise when looking for Christina and now that I look at your records I think you have two separate ones for Christina with each of her married names, is that correct?

|EmilyEm||RE: Agnes Adams Austin|
He descends through one of the twin brothers Levi and eventually to a 3rd grandmother Emily Diadamia Austin Sayre in New York's Finger Lakes [Ontario County]. It is interesting how the names keep repeating and repeating. There's just one couple, Emily's parents, that I can't find burial information for so the link is broken still.

Thank you, Cheryl, for Agnes' headstone photo. I can see it has not withstood the weathering of time well enough to be readable. But, hey, it was 1754 -- 259 years ago -- when it was set in place. When I think about it, it's remarkable that it is still standing. Thank you so much for providing a perspective on the lives of our ancestors.

My after the death of my great-grandmother, my great-grandfather, Frank Frederick married Elma Beach. (Elma was the only great-grandparent I ever knew and though she was not blood she was family and never had any children of her own. I've taken to looking into her history as a way of preserving her memory and heritage.) Elma's mother was a Mary Strike, daughter of John Thomas Strike, son of John D Strike, husband of Elizabeth Parsons. I didn't even know Elizabeth Parsons Strike's mother ever lived in the US. Thanks for the tip. I have linked them.

|Rebecca Wright||RE: Minshall/Sanders|
My money is definitely on that they all knew each other, especially in such a small area like Sugar Creek! I can't thank you enough for all the EXTRA time and effort you've put into this, and all the new information is excellent. I'm going to send you a photograph via your email of one my cousins that worked at the band factory in Elkhorn back in the 1930's, think you'll like the story. Thank you so much for your help!

Oh my goodness, you ARE amazing! That's wonderful, I will et them up right now! Thank you, thank you! Rebecca

Yes, I'm quite sure that they are buried somewhere in Walworth County. The photo that I use on Find-A-Grave is of my grandmother, Florence Minshall. The Minshall's have been in Walworth County since 1850 when three Minshall brothers came from England and bought farms in and around Sugar Creek. Most of the family was in Walworth County for more than 100 years. Thanks for your help and that would be great if you could find something on them, it's been a mystery for a long time. I'm in California so I have to search mostly on line!

|Rebecca Wright||Roy Harlow Sanders|
I've searched and searched for John Sanders and Sarah Jane Minsall Sanders (Roy's adoptive parents) and still can't find them. I did find John's father and mother buried at Mount Pleasant! Roy's biological father died in Oregon and all three Harlow children went to live with other families.....still haven't made the connection as to how Roy came to be with John & Sarah. Thanks again!

Hi again Cheryl!
Thank you for the nice photo of Roy Sanders' gravemarker at Spring Grove Cemetery. I would like to also get your permission to copy the photos for my Ancestry file of Roy's marker and his wife, Cora Minshall Sanders too?

|Rebecca Wright||Silas Minshall|
Thank you so much for taking the excellent photo of Silas Minshall's gravemarker at Spring Grove Cemetery, would you mind if I made a copy to add to my Ancestry file. I will, of course, credit you with the photo. I see that you also took the photo of his wife, Catherine, and may I copy that photo as well?
