I didn't even notice the birth date differences, thank you for pointing that out :) I found and attached his death certificate to his memorial. It lists John Allen Bowles and Vesta Lee Baise (close!!) are his parents. It also lists the birth date that is on his headstone. I would be happy to have his memorial, thank you very much!!!!

I was wondering if you would mind my copying the photo you took of Elizabeth Piper Gooden? Her father was my GGGGGrandfather, Robert Piper and I would like to include it in my genealogy.
Thank you, Jennefer Piper Burk

|AVD159||Ruth Close Rowe Faidley|
I added the information that you sent to me for Ruth to both of the Memorials and the headstone photo to the one without a photo.
If you would like the memorial that I added transferred to you just send a request through Find A Grave and I will be happy to transfer it to you.
I didn't delete the memorial that I entered since she is in two times under two different last names. Thought it might be easier for people to find her if I left both memorials as is.

|Chuck||RE: Martin Mindham|
You are very welcome for the additional information.
I found that I didn't like the photo on Martin's memorial page, so I rephotographed it this morning. The marker faces east, and the previous photo was taken in mid-afternoon. This new photo removes all doubt as to his parents names.
Added by Chuck on Mar 19, 2012 3:02 PM
You are correct about Martin's year of birth being 1903. He was the son of Thomas and Minnie (James) Mindham. There are some discrepant entries on the 1925 Iowa census that list the father of Martin and his siblings as Martin Mindham. Their mother is correctly listed as Minnie James.
Martin's father's father was named Martin, and that may have been where the census taker made his error and just duplicated that name until the entry for Louise. His father was clearly Thomas, as the first page lists his relationship to the head of the household (Thomas) as "Son" Historical records can be tricky, can't they?
I'm sorry, but I have no information on Martin's marital status. The 1940 census is due to be released shortly, and they may be listed on it. The 1930 census still records his residing with his mother and three siblings.
Good luck on you research.
Thanks for your help in correcting his page.

I have connected five children to Isaac Newton West. I did find his wife, Cordelia (Delia) Hayes West at the Oak Grove Alberton Cemetery.
Check out this website: genealogytrails.com/tenn/henderson
go to the "cemetery" listing, then to "Oak Grove Alberton". She is listed as Delia West.
I have added her memorial to the Findagrave.
If any of the information is incorrect, please let me know.

I just "happened" to go down far enough and saw your information on the flower! You have she was born in Kansas, but her death certificate says she was born in Iowa.
