I'm still looking for her grave. The GSP database for Mt Moriah has no burials for January 1885 so that's a dead end. The Friends of MM are transcribing the old records so I'll keep checking with them.

Kate Morrow & family
Hi, Mike - just found Marion Kate Morrow (1922), daughter Emma (1972), sons Edward (1949) and Robert (1947) all buried at Mt. Moriah, Sec. F, Range 4, Lot 9 Southwest so you can update their pages.

RE: Linda Davis Porter
Hi, Mike - I still haven't found Linda in the Gen. Society database or the letter section database the MM Friends group is compiling. I hold out hope we'll find her some day! Looked up death certifs for the Porter children in 114-15 and don't recognize them. I'll try to find the parents in census or city directories. Still have no leads on Linda's husband William.

No, Mike. I can't find Linda's plot. Not that more of the cemetery records are available to the Friends group, I hope something may surface.

Hi, Mike - thanks for posting her obit but you gave the newspaper date as Feb. 30, 1920! It was a leap year so maybe it was the 29th???

RE: Samuel Morrow family
Cool - you're the first descendant I've found in this line. Katherine's younger sister Linda Davis Porter is my gr-grandmother. She died in 1885 at 25 leaving two young children. Don't yet know what happened to her husband William (apparently it wasn't talked about!) Their elder sister Almira Davis cared for my grandfather Harry and his sister Linda. Harry died when my dad was 6 so he knew nothing about his father's extended family - sad, as they all lived in South Philadelphia. I discovered these ancestors since Dad died in 2007. I just found Edward Davis over the weekend and a bunch of old census returns. Let me enter it all into my Family Tree Maker database and I'll send it to you in the next week or so. My email is lindafoh@epix.net. My FTM site is http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/f/o/h/Linda-P-Foh/index.html but I haven't been able to update the data in several years - probably since my Genealogy.com subscription lapsed!

Samuel Morrow family
Hi, Mike - thanks for posting Samuel, Katherine (Davis) and their kids. Are you related to this family? Katherine's sister Linda Davis Porter was my gr-grandmother, also buried at Mt. Moriah but not in the GSP database. Would like to hear from you if this is your family.

Thank you very much for the Harley and Burdsall grave photos. As far as Michael Norcross, I don't have a plot number, so I can't say whether the small stone you found is his, or not. He was married to Mary Ann Kellum. I truly appreciate your help. Sandy

RE: Sacramento City Cem. Lot 604
Mike. According to the cemetery burial index there are several people buried in Lot 604, but Henrietta Bahrs is the only one with a headstone. Also buried in Lot 604 are an infant child of D. and M. Bahrs (no age or gender), Nellie Gunter, Henrietta and Henrietta Kraker, and Charles, Ellen, Ferdinand Sr., Ferdinand Jr., Peter, and William Haedrich.

New Freedom Cemetery
Hi, Mike.
Just a heads-up that I'm getting ready to post a couple more photo requests for New Freedom Cemetery in Tansboro, if you're interested. If it's inconvenient, please don't worry about them. I'm sure there will be others who will come along and take photos as well. I just thought I'd let you know in case you were interested. (It's a husband and wife named Cox, and she was related to the extended Durham family members you'd photographed previously, so it's possible they're in the same section). (I'm also not 100% sure if her husband is buried with her, but I was told that at least she was there).
Thanks very much!!
John
