Cassells
Thank you for trying to find their grave markers.

They are my ggg grandparents. My gggg grandfather was Johnnie Cassell who one of the founders of the church and the cemetery. His grave and that of his wife are marked and I have pics of their markers.

The markers for Nicholas Cassell and his wife Lucy Dent Cassell are probably either unmarked or are those with marked by a rock which you found.

Once again thank your for your efforts.

Moran Connections
I am glad I was able to share information to connect Pearl Moran Arthur, Kitty Moran Hull, Edith Moran Moore, and Mary Ada Elizabeth Moran to their parents. And I appreciate that you shared information you discovered about the Howard Sink who is buried at Sherwood Memorial Park.

RE: Dawkins Springer
Not a problem. I have traced the family back quite far if you are ever interested. Will work on adding more of them to Find a Grave at some time in the future.

RE: Dawkins Springer
My late husband was Eva Springer Dawkins' great grandson. Her daughter Martha "Mattie" Dawkins, who married AK Watts, was his grandmother. These are his biological ancestors, as he was adopted out at birth.

I have quite a large data base re these folks and would love to share information with you. My email is nmerriman@sbcglobal.net. Hope to hear from you!

RE: Hancock Cemetery
Hi Sherlock,
You were indeed quite close to the Hancock Cemetery at the intersection of Fairview Church and Patrick Roads. The cemetery is a bit of a hike, uphill from there.

Specifically, the GPS coordinates are:
36.823568 -80.354999
If you enter those coordinates on Google maps for instance, and view the map in satellite mode, you can see precisely where the cemetery is in relation to that intersection. I think this link will open the map showing the location:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/36°49'24.8%22N+80°21'18.0%22W/@36.8225245,-80.3538681,1085m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0

To hike up there you need to drive just a LITTLE past the intersection on Fairview Church Rd. (in the direction of Floyd). There is a barn like structure along Fairview Church on your right. It's the first structure past the intersection and you can see it on the Google map. Park where you can, enter or climb over the gate by the barn and follow that dirt path uphill. When you enter the wooded part the dirt path forks. It doesn't matter which fork you take since it is a loop from that point and either way will take you up to the cemetery. ( I went left on the way up and took the other way back down.)

Good luck and if I can offer more help, please let me know.

Jack
