Joshua, I just for the 1st time found your note here.... About a week ago "G-aunt" Charlotte Ellender's granddaughter's (by Charlotte Ellender's son John Logan Dykes) husband Gordon Chaney gave me a call and I got to tell him about the pictures you shared with me which I'll be sharing with him and wife Rebecca Farmer Chaney (descendant of John Logan Dykes). Thanks many times over for all you do. Best regards, Drew Whitaker

p.s. Kentucky Explorer Magazine published one of the photos you shared here.

Hi. Joshua, thank you for your contributions.

One quick thing though, Gertie R. Whitaker was the SON of William P. Whitaker and Maggie Boyd Whitaker.

He was my GGUncle. Pleas update. Thank you!

Christina McGuire Gatliff
Hi Josh,
My husband is descended from Christina's brother William McGuire who was also taken captive into Canada. I noticed you have James and Elizabeth Black McGuire as her parents, a link I had not made before for the McGuires. Would you mind sharing documentation with me on this line? I'd like to add James and Elizabeth to my records. My email address is djmwriter@bellsouth.net
Thanks,
Donna McClendon McGuyer (McGuire)

Hi- I am from Somerset, KY. You have the wrong spelling for the Connard Cemetery in Somerset.
It is not Conrard, as you have listed. I almost added a new cemetery, but this is an easy fix. :)

Thanks for all the additions you have made - very helpful!

Daniel is my 5th great grandfather. Thank you so much for finding informaiton on him and his wife. I had Daniel but sadly nothing on Jane. I have not been able to find her last name either. Thanks for sharing. I am from the Pendleton side of the family. Patience Guthrie married my 4th great grandfather.

Charles Gatliff
Charles Gatliff, (1748-1838) is not buried in the Maple Creek Cemetery. He is in the Charles Gatliff Cemetery just off 92-E at Maple Creek. There is only he and his wife Christina McGuire buried there along with one other small grave marked only with a field stone. They are buried in the middle of a hay field on the Boyd farm.
