James Blankenship
Someone posted an obituary for him on his memorial. The obituary states that his ashes were interred in Laurel Grove. I wonder why there is a miscommunication with family?

I did receive a response from the church. Here is the email I received:

To Oct 11 at 1:47 PM

We do not have the ashes of a James Blankenship at this church.

RE: James Blankenship
Thank you. I called the church, no one answered. I sent them an email and hope for a response. Thank you for going out of your way to get me this information.

Thanks Scott for all your efforts and I am looking forward to good results. These two people are my brother-in-law's parents.

Thanks, however the only photo on their memorials is of the cemetery entrance. That is why I requested photos of their grave marker(s).

HMMM...I only put his memorial there because his obituary said he would be placed there.
"His ashes were interred in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Port Townsend, with Evergreen Memorial Gardens of Vancouver in charge of arrangements."

I wonder if they were put with a family member without the cemetery knowing? So Sorry for the goose chase.

Wyatt Rathbun
I added a photo of the grave of Wyatt Rathbun that I took today. His memorial lists the burial in St. John but I found this stone at Farmington Cemetery in Macksville.

I found their graves this afternoon, unfortunately there was not grave marker to photograph. The headstone right beside them is a couple named Tincupp, you can see part of their marker in the photo, according to the cemetery directory their graves are right beside the Tincupps.
