Arthur Ames
I have found out that Arthur Ames was related to Marguerite. I don't know all the details yet, but will set up a memorial for him when I find out more.
He died in 1930 something. His death was a real shame, and was totally avoidable.

I guess he was at the scene of a well site. I believe there were 2 men in the well and were overcome with some sort of gas and were unconscious (probably methane). The firemen at the scene asked Arthur to go down into the well because he was a small man. After some persuasion he relented, he was lowered into the well and was also overcome with the gas. All 3 of them died that day. No firemen were harmed in the rescue.

Marguerite Cobia
Abby,
Thank you so much for the picture of Marguerite's headstone. I was just thrilled when I got the email.
I can't tell you how much the family will appreciate this. You are so sweet to go to all that trouble.
Marguerite was actually my ex-husband's mother's only sibling. She died very mysteriously after a short illness. The cause of death was never known.
I didn't want her to be forgotten. So, I appreciate what you have done so much.
I don't know who Arthur Ames was. He may be a family member. Marguerite's mother's maiden name was Ames. I will keep this on file until I make the connection.
Thanks Again! Pam
