Mary Clark photo
Thank you for photographing the headstone of Mary Clark at Applecreek Presbyterian Cemetery. She is likely my 4th great grandmother. Much obliged!

Hi, I requested that Joe was switched to the famous category but so far he hasn't. I have also been reading articles and newspaper reports on his death. Hopefully all the information will change his status.

Hi Jason, Thank you for sending the information. I did look up the site you suggested. After I "doctor" the posting, I will change the status.

Hi, Seeing that this is not the fighter Joe Walcot, it shouldn't be placed in the notable status. The gentleman was known in his town as Joe Walcot but it seems that it was not his name.

Thank you so much for the memorial photo of the tombstone of Margaret Netherow. This line has been a hard one for me, and every little hint helps.

Hoffman photos

Thank you for the two excellent tombstone photos for Perry Hoffman. His parents named him Commodore Perry Hoffman, but he seems to have wisely lost the "Commodore" along the way. Again, thank you.

Concord Presbyterian Church
RE: Nixon

I have the entire Nixon Family Genealogy. My paternal family were from Vinton County and friends of the Nixons. The President's Great Grandmother is buried next to part of my family in McArthur, Ohio.

I contacted the memorial creator of the memorial for Samuel Brady Nixon and tried to get him to make the familial links on Samuel's memorial, but he failed to respond or make the links.

Here is the URL for Samuel's memorial here at Find A Grave :

I have a few friends remaining from the Nixon lineage here in Ohio and they have written to the memorial creators about making the connections to the various Nixon memorials, also to no avail.

When you plan to visit our Church/Cemetery, please feel free to contact me and I will meet you there and provide you with the historical information. I live 5 miles from the Church and repair the stones and help maintain the cemetery.

God Bless,
Ton Smallridge

RE: Rudolf Wimmer
That's good news. Any other Wimmers nearby would be great as well. Or possibly but not likely Kaplan (or Kaplanova) or Hoeffner. Thanks!

Thanks for the great picture. You didn't happen to see his wife Helen's marker nearby, did you?
