question
Dear Joan: I was wondering if you can help me. I noticed that John Courtland Golden died on Feb 19,1901, but you had added he was born in August 1917, this can't be possible. He was probably born in 1820's but I am not sure. Could you please let me know if this is so? I have looked for the correct dates but I live in Florida, so I can't look it up. I appreciate all that you do on findagrave also. It has helped me many times. With sincere thanks, Roxane

George & Frederica (Sanders) Yager
I see I can not think today. I made a mistake in saying Alexander Yager when I should have said Christopher Yager as the son of George & Frederica. I am going on 71 years old so maybe you can overlook my mistakes.

I sent you a message almost a year ago asking if you were related to Leah Mae (Yager) Morey but I never received any reply. I have an 8 X 10 in. photo of your Great Grandparent's George & Fredricka Yager. As I told you Leah Mae Morey had many pictures that belonged to her mother, Mrs. Hattie (Cornell) Yager, wife of Alexander Yager. He was one of George & Fredricka's sons. If you will be kind enough to let me know if you are related to Leah Morey then I will share her mother's picture of your Gt. Grandparents Yager with you. I made a typo so I tried to correct it so this will post twice. Sorry about that. lol Thank You! William L. Fox. [e-mail me at foxy4401@hotmail.com]

Are you related to my cousin Leah Mae (Yager) Morey formerly of Victory Mills, Saratoga County, New York. I went on a personal interview with her concerning her maternal Grandmother's family Clarinda (Chase) Cornell back in the late 1960's I believe the year was. She shared many of her mother's family pictures with me which I still have the copies that I made. Of course I returned the originals to her. My e-mail address is foxy4401@hotmail.com if Leah is your loved one please contact me. Thank You, William L. Fox

hi
Joan: Hi there! I have noticed that on most of the cemetery plots you have written or added a nice flower. I think we are related because Catherine E. Allspaugh married my GGGrandpa Daniel D. Golden. I am Roxane E. Copeland. My Mom's side of the family was The Smith's , The Golden's, The Allspaugh's and all the other surnames. I just recently received the cemetery plots for Michael and Marie Shatz and they are now on findagrave.com., thanks to a great photographer that assisted me. I was wondering if you had the picture of Michael and Marie Allspaugh with both of them holding Phillip and Frederick. My Grandma Catherine E. Smith/McMinn just recently passed away last July and I have been working on a ancestry book for both sides of my family. Are you on ancestry.com? Please let me know and thanks for all the beautiful flowers and memorials for my ancestors too. With blessings of thanks, Roxane

No problem, these Loomises (via Betsey McDonald) are distant relations of mine. Are they related to you at all?

Most of John Loomis's line is buried in Oneida Castle Cemetery, in Oneida Castle, NY. You can find them on findagrave. The cemetery is in Madison Co.

Hi Joan,

I believe the cemetery he is in would be in Natural Bridge, NY. Not Champion. I did have him as listed in Natural Bridge, but somehow, 99% of the memorials I had in Natural Bridge were transferred by someone else to Champion. Apparently Find A Grave has no idea how that happened. But I just wanted to let you know that the actual cemetery should be Natural Bridge.
Thanks,
Jean

I did some research on the Fish Creek Cemetery and records state that Joel doesn't have a stone. I'll try to find the caretaker and see what he/she says..

Loomis in Fish Creek
I visited Fish Creek to look for Dennis and Joel. There were many Loomis people, including Dennis (dates don't match though) and a Dennis Jr. I couldn't find Joel... I'll look again soon.

You are most welcome. I looked for Courtland & Catherine Golden, plus Flossie Loomis, but didn't find them. I did find Arthur J. & Emma Golden. Will go back there next week and do another walk thru. I know they are there. I ran out of time, plus it was windy and cold Friday. Hope to get them before the snow starts flying here.
