I know the nickname is wrong. I am trying to get FindAGrave to delete the 1509 entries in my spreadsheet with invalid nicknames.

Since I still cling to the hope that they will do that, it doesn't seem useful to correct these one by one.

Humphrey Bogart
Humphrey Bogart is from Gysbert Bogart born 1668 line, only son of Tunis Gysbertse Bogaert and Sarah Rapalje.
Gysbert Bogart is the brother of my ancestor Catalyntje Bogart. There is a book "The Bogart family: Tunis Gysbertse Bogaert and his descendants". Have never been able to get the whole book, but I do have the part of it that is my line. But Gysbert Bogart married Jannetje Symonse Van Arsdale.
Sarah Rapalje married Hans Bergen first and he died and then she married Tunis Gysbertse Bogaert. "the Bergen family: the descendants of Hans Bergen" lists the children from Sarah Rapalje's first marriage on page 72 and 73 (they had 8 children, 1 died young), and the children from the 2nd marriage (my line) on page 74 and 75 (Sarah Rapalje had an additonal 7 children with her second husband for total of 15 children, i believe 14 lived to marry and have children. The Hans Bergen book is online. You can google it. it is on archive.org.

RE: Annable Family
Aloha Jay,
Sorry you have had a bad experience with Annable descendants... but I understand your reluctance. No worries... I shall just keep them in my virtual cemetery... nice to know where they are! Really liking the memorial transcriptions that you posted for some of them... may I use them on my private family tree? I always give credit to the find a grave members who allow me to use their photos... am very grateful for the hours they spend traipsing around cemeteries. Thanks for your quick response...

Regards,

Lynda

Sarah Rapalje 1625
Hi --couldnt find your email but if you want to, you can email me at forjets@aol.com
I am from Sarah Rapalje born 1625 and her second husband Tunis Gysbertse Bogaert born 1625.
From their daughter Catalyntje Bogaert bapt 1657.
Catalyntje Bogaert bapt 1657 married Jan Teunis Nyssen. (some writers mention him as Jan teunis Denyse)
I noticed you have many Bogard listed in your memorials.
Look in "Register in Alphabetical Order the Early Settlers of Kings County Long Island NY", under the surname Denyse------Jan Teunis Nyssen , son of Teunis Nyssen, changed his name to Van Middleswaert.
Jan Teunis Nyssen (sometimes written as Denyse)
was one of 3 brothers that changed their name when they moved to Somerset NJ. The Van Middleswaert / VanMiddlesworth / Middleswarth / Middleswart / Middlesworth are all the same family.

Island at the center of the world
I have a copy of "The Island at the center of the world" by Russell Shorto since 2005.
My ancestors Joris Rapalje and Catalina Trico and their daughter Sarah Rapalje born 1625 (also my ancestor) are in the book, and it is taken from Dutch records and translated into English. My ancestors came in 1624. I have known about them being my ancestors for years.
When I write to request an edit as i did in this situation, and no one makes the changes after I give alot of REAL sources, what should a person do? Writing a flower to give other people the accurate information seems to be the only option. Any suggestions ? I had given the gentleman you mention many sources for the accurate information. It is disappointing that some people do not want to make changes to the findagraves even when they are shown the accurate info.

Laurel Grove Cemetery. I find that odd, they hold the copyright for the laurel grove cemetery records written by Donald R. Gumaer 1994.

"Another member suggests that Ann's husband wrote a letter in which he mentions their children, none of whom survived them: "lamentedly we have no surviving children. our children Aggie, Maddie & Sarah died young. [sic]"

No other information about this letter is known: no date is noted nor the repository where it is kept. Aggie Corwin and Sarah Corwin are listed right beneath the known children, which could indicate that this is so. However, note that it is "Mattie" that is carved on the stone and there is no mention of Florence or Martha in the letter."

if you are going to refer to me please use my name, repository is my home- I was very clear I own the letter. if you would like a copy all you have to do is ask but be polite about it. Aside from that the Corwin Genealogy mentions the same children. you can also speak to the records office @ Benedict Menorials.

RE: Vincent Badolato
He is my uncle. I do not have his obituary, but I do have articles that report the plane crash in which he was 1 of 8 fatalities. The newspaper articles name all 8 fatalities. He was from Philadelphia and married at the time of his death, although he was single when he enlisted. I do have a photo of him, but it will be a few weeks before I am able to post it.

My misspelled memorials
As I fix the spelling of hundreds of memorials I have inherited, I occasionaly find an accidental duplicate. When you made your memorial, the original was only a first name, a misspelled last name and a year of death.

You didn't overlook it. Please don't feel like you missed something. This is one of the embarrassing parts of finishing up abandoned memorials. I have to write to people a spoil their day.

If you are interested in working on any of the memorials in Italian Cemetery, please let me know. Or I am always happy to receive additional info. Send it my way.

Have a great week. Samantha :)

Bob Collins
Henry Wilbur Paret
No wife or children are buried with Henry Wilbur Paret. However, his wife was Hannah Booth, who died at Booth manor, Lehighton, PA Feb 17 1940, and is probably interred with her Booth relatives. Henry himself died there in 1918 while visiting his in-laws. It appears that he had but one son, Henry Wilbur Paret, Jr. Photos of the stone and lot will be uploaded in the next few days.

Sorry, it just says Mother on the front of the stone. If there would have been a date I would have added another picture showing it. If you would like the her death date, you could call the cemetery office at (716) 885-1600 and they will be able to tell you. They generally have the person's death date and plot number on their computer. If you are related and would like to manage the memorial page let me know and I will transfer it to you.

My apologies for not responding. I thought I had. I do not remember exactly what your query was regarding Silvanus but I seem to recall that my impression was that these were not the same men.

Thank you,

RE: Regarding: Char/Zachariah Jansen
On the internet you will find this list of graves by Dr. Poucher. Old Gravestones of Ulster County.

Survey conducted on August 15 & 16, 1924 by Dr. J. Wilson Poucher and Byron J. Terwilliger. Shawangunk Reformed Dutch Church Ground at Bruynswick.

IN 1924 THE GRAVE IN QUESTION WAS MORE THAN LIKELY NOT AS DAMAGED AS IT IS TODAY.

Contributor VickiO has done extensive work on this cemetery and entered most of these graves but without photos. I have been working on getting those photos.

Sincerely,

Anne H.
