RE: Glenn (Bud) Yerdon
Nancy,
No problem. From the obituary listed on the cemetery grave plot locator, he seemed like a great man. I'm sure he's missed by many.

You are welcome, if you ever need any other people from that cemetery, I'm just up the road from them and can go and get pictures of the grave sites. I've been using Find A Grave as a genealogy tool. Who would have thought a 17 year old would be interested in this kind of thing?

Blessings,
H

I have had good luck with libraries when trying to find sexton records for cemeteries.
you might try the Newton County Library, there are probably old sexton books there, if you do not live close, you might try calling the library, someone there can probably steer you in the right direction. good luck! Linda

Beverly
Zue R. Woodworth
No headstone is seen for Zue or Marie Downs, but you may want to contact the cemetery to see if headstones were actually placed, or if it hidden from view as sometimes happens especially with flush stones. Telephone: 216-421-2665, Fax: 216-421-2415
E-mail: info@lakeviewcemetery.com.
See captions for photos for Zue Woodworth, William Downs and Marie C. Downs. Your birth date for William of 7 aug 1869 differs from headstone date of 1871. If you have good documentation, please use the edit tabs and add the correct birth date, and add Henry to his name to help other researchers. Thanks.

Hi Nancy -
I posted the COL's obit but really can't do much with his first wife's unless we can find out where she is buried and create a memorial. Some great info in them, though - I just love obits! :)

I created the memorial and posted the picture. He is Findagrave Memorial #105669437

I did a quick search on ancestry.com. An obituary was printed in the Bloomington IL Pantagraph on 1 April 2011. I was not able to see it all but did get his wife and daughter's names. The actual obit would probably give you a lot more.

Hi Nancy -

I'm going out to the cemetery this weekend. I called the graves office today and found that he was buried in Section 10, Grave 612.

Do you want me to add the record to Find a Grave when I get the picture, or do you plan on doing that?

Jean

Hi Nancy - I am happy to go out to the cemetery and look but am going out of Town on Friday, so my first chance will be late next week. I'll let you know what I find.
