John and Catherine Harris
I would appreciate it if you would correct a couple of errors that you have on Catherine. She was born in Little Conewago Creek, York, Pennsylvania and died on Aug. 29, 1872 at the age of 86 yrs. 5 mo. 19 da. which you can read on her headstone. Also, John was John Harris, Sr. and was born Jan. 20, in Montgomery, Pennsylvania. Thank you and please consider making these changes

I just added her husband William E.,,,,,but...there is no personal stone for him.....Her index card read wife of W. E.,,,,,,he may not be there after all. I will double check next time I am out there and add dates if he is indeed buried there and if there is anyone else.

Thank you for understanding and for linking Daniel to his mother. As for Mary, I was trying to say her middle name is Frances. I looked at the photo of the headstone and I think that the initial is an F so that would "fit". Right now that is all I know about her. Such a simple act and I got it all messed up. Geez!!!! So if you can just add her middle name, I think that is all we can do for right now. I was trying to find her maiden name, but so far no luck. Thank you for helping me, we all can only do the best we can I guess--admitting mistakes is the hardest part--but you are correct--we are all guilty!! :-)

RE: Sarah Cooper/Felker
Goldens, thanks for replying. You asked where we saw our Sarah's listing that she was buried in the Bailey Cemetery. When we visited the genealogy library in Lewis Co. years ago ( forget the name of the small town, but it was near the Miss. River)in search of more information on our Cooper ancestors, they had a file. One was the listing in the "Bailey Methodist Church Cemetery" in clark Co. This cemetery is located, as you know, on the border of Lewis Co. "Deer Ridge" is where the Coopers homesteaded in 1839. Alexander Cooper. my gg grandfather, died in 1855 and we have been unable to locate his grave. His wife, Sarah Cooper/Felker, was listed in the file on Bailey Cemetery. I wish now we had made a copy of this, as we learned later, some think she married "Ira Felker" but we have no proof of that. Sarah's son, J.J. Cooper, had 2 wives buried there, Susan & Effie. J.J. later went to Nevada. Sarah's nephew's wife, Emma Scott Cooper, was also buried there. If there appears to be an unmarked grave near the other Coopers, I feel it would be Sarah's, however, I don't know if we could list her as being there. I may could look in our old notes and call the library in Lewis Co. as maybe the stone was readable when someone cataloged it many years ago. That may be a reason to place her in "Find a Grave" What do you think? Do you know where your genealogy library is located in Clark Co? They also could have the "old listing". Thanks for your help.

Sarah Cooper/Felker 1822-1898
The above person is my ggrandmother and we saw on a list in MO. that she was buried in the "Bailey Methodist Church Cemetery" as was some of her grandchildren. However, she is not listed. Is all of the cemetery photographed and are there some unreadable stones? Also, we are unsure if she was married again to a Mr. Felker. Would like any info you have on this. Thanks.

Thank you for taking such good care of the memorials!
I am piecing together this family and have found them all except the sister, Bernadine Brightwell. Do you remember if Wayne ever mentioned a sister and if so, what happened to her?
The last record I have of her is a 1940 census showing her living in Des Moines, near their brother Paul...and she was single living alone...

RE: Sayres
It was from the Knox County Cemetery List. If one could see the stones perhaps it would give initials or some kind of clue as to whose children they are. Probable that the stones are so badly decayed inscription may be difficult to read. Maybe Junior Wilkerson left a clue in the file at the library. Although the last time I went in to look, they were updating the décor and rearranging the book shelves and the file was backwards in a closet and inaccessible.

Merry Christmas!
