I will have to look for the Oak Ridge Cemetery book which is packed away in a box in my basement.
Since I listed her burial spot in the cemetery I'm assuming that is where I got the information. But am aware of how people buy burial spots and then children bury them somewhere else. Will look for the book.

#7810677. # 7810679 I have the links for Nimrods parents and a few siblings. I've went to edit to add birthplace and to add family links. I know I should wait 30 days. I've tried much longer than that. Even private email. I've contacted findagrave for assistance. I've noticed on that creators wall you've had contact four yrs ago. Have you had any respinse? Thanks! Tania

I am a descendant of John and Elizabeth Duke Yeager (#25949324).
I appreciate your Find A Grave write up on my 3x grandmother and her husband, John.
You have all their children listed on John's page so that is what I'm writing about.
I am wondering where you found a listing of all of their children? Do you have more info on this family that you could share with me? I have Elizabeth's family info if you're interested in adding to it or if you'd like to transfer her to me, that would be wonderful. I understand that Elizabeth Shasteen was his second wife and your lineage surely follows that line, but Elizabeth's doesn't.
I'm also looking for more info on their daughter, Catherine Yeager, that you have listed. Any idea who she married? Needing more info on her.
My 2x great grandmother is Mary Yeager Bower and then my great grandmother is Catherine Lucretia Bower Stroman, mother of my grandfather, Burr Ray Stroman.
Any more info you'd have on John and Elizabeth's family, I would appreciate. You can contact me directly if you would like.

I'd first like to state I am not a member of this family. But I was wondering in what year did Amber Shasteen and her husband get married?

My mistake William's middle name is Franklin. I had never heard of him called Saw though. Curious if anyone knows how that came about. Thanks!

I am related to the Shasteen's buried in Wauseon. I am wondering about William Shasteen. He is listed as William Franklin "Saw" Shasteen here. I am wonder where the "Franklin and Saw" come from. I know his middle name is Allen.

James was from Londonderry County, Ireland and Peggy was from Tyrone County. They owned linen mills and barely escaped with their lives. They settled around Natural Bridge, Rockbridge County, Virginia. I don't know his father's name or anything else really. My father's has an old chest in the basement with all kinds of information, I am going to get it out and see if I can find any information. My father was born on the Caskey homestead. If I obtained any more information, I will let you know.

My great x3 grandfather was old Jim Caskey of Rockbridge County, Virginia. His son, Rev. James Caskey lived in Ripley. We had been told that he was buried in the Old Ripley cemetery but never able to find his stone. Did not add information concerning him because never sure he was really buried there. Do not have any information concerning James Caskey when he lived in Rockbridge County, Virginia. My information started when he left there and came to Adams County, Ohio. I do have move information on Rev. James Caskey. Did not know his middle initial was J. Where were you able to gain that information?

Can't be any more specific than the directions I gave on the cemetery description. The jeep trail is overgrown a little on the road and this is where you leave your vehicle and start walking. The walk is no difficult, it's finding the trail that's hard. I went by it several times before I found it by asking a nearby resident (he was a relative) where it was. The cemetery is not kept and very overgrown. Wear shoes, a 5' black racer and I parted company when I nearly put my nose on him.

|Jean Fremion McKibben||John Yeager 27177394|
Am researching John Yeager, Find A Grave #27177394, buried at Pierce Witmer Cemetery in LaGrange County, Indiana. I am searching for his specific military service in the War of 1812 (regiment, etc.) and am having difficulty finding any John Yeager who enlisted from Beaver or Butler counties - as well as there are several John Yeagers! The Veterans' Headstone Project wishes to add a supplemental marker at his grave site highlighting his military service - any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Jean

Do you have documentation showing his middle name as David? Only thing I found was Davis.

Both are buried in Greenhill Cemetery. I will go take a photo for you. I walked this cemetery for the Moultrie Country Historical Society & updated their book. I only live a mile away. The Shasteen's are all in my line. You transferred some to me. Send me a note with the ones you want photos of. I may have them on my computer.

I received your request for transfers of several Shasteens. What is your relationship to them? Victor & Pauline are in my family line through Pauline. I will recheck my family notes.
