Judith Holcomb Farrington
Charles Phillip Van Wassenhova
Hello, Mr. Wasshnova. I am Judith Holcomb Farrington. I'm researching Van Wasshnova, Gonyea, and Mexicotte families. I am wondering if you can clarify the various spellings of Wasshnova, Wassehnova, Wassenhova, Wassenhove, etc.

Charles Phillip's last name is seen sometimes as Wasshnova; but his gravestone (as well as his first wife's) is spelled Wassenhova.

Thank you! (I am truly clueless about French names; but I would like to learn as much as I can.)

RE: Still browsing through Mt. Calvary
I NEVER refuse to delete any memorial that is a duplicate nor do I ignore correction request. I do delete messages left to me once my response has been sent. I do not see one for this person and take exception to this back and forth talk between the two of you when it is as simple as asking me to change something. I do not check non cemeteries for people who do not know where someone is buried but list them just so they can be linked to children. Is this the case with this person in question? Did you have her listed as burial unknown...move her to St. Mary's and the date appears as if yours was created first?

RE: Still browsing through Mt. Calvary
You can send an e-mail to saying that memorial #whatever is a duplicate of your memorial #???? and that the person refuses to delete it. Usually, edit will take care of it, though it takes about 3-4 weeks. If they don't resolve the issue to your satisfaction you can contact one of the admins for help. If it gets that far, get back in touch with me and I can connect you to someone who can help you.

Best Wishes,

Still browsing through Mt. Calvary
I'm still browsing through the list of all memorials looking for something else. In 2012 you created memorial 101136418. In 2014 Kateri created memorial 136244713. I don't think she creates intentional dups; the maiden name is spelled one letter differently in the 2 memorials, so she may not have caught it. I am not her favorite person, so I leave it up to you, whether you will contact her regarding the dup. If you don't want to do that, it can be sent to edit. Let me know.

Best Wishes,

Rose Roelant Gonyea
Did you realize that you have two memorials for the same person? They are Memorial# 101092339 and Memorial# 115281801. I came across this info while searching for something else.

Best Wishes,

Michael Streicher
Hi Richard,
I was wondering if you would mind removing Michael Streicher as listed as Mary Elizabeth ( Wiseman) Quirk's husband. They were never married. She married his brother, Ignace Streicher, JR.

Thanks, Jared

Hittler - Bodenmiller
Richard, May I use some of your Hittler/Bodenmiller photos for my family tree. I am a Hittler, A few generations down. Teresia Bodenmiller was a GGGGMother, We did not know much else about where she came from except she was born in Germany.

No problem on the corrections. While no relation to me Joseph Hittler and Theresia were my wife's 4x great grandparents. Theresia was also married before she married Joseph Hittler. Not sure of the name because it was to hard to read but the last name of the groom was Klein, which led me to the marriage record of Joseph and Theresia in 1861 in Toledo, ohio

St. Mary's Father Soest.
Hi Richard: I appreciate the Prayer card for Father Soest. I attended St. Mary's School and graduated in 1950. Fr Soest was there at that time. There were several Van Wasshnova's there at that time also, I remember a Elaine grade a head of me and John who was in my class.
Thanks a bunch.

I attached a funeral card for Father Soest. Please move the obit back on top. He died 10 Oct 1974 and that is the date of obit.

Stuart G. Smith
As the previous message indicated, Stuart Smith in Riverside it not the correct Stuart. I found Stuart G. Smith 30 Jan 1900- 16 Jan 1992 in Torch Lake, Houghton, Michigan. I would assume that he is buried in Houghton County someplace.

Mable and Stuart Smith
I checked the Riverside Cemetery records and I don't think Mable and Stuart are here. The only Stuart Smith is buried with another women and in another section from Mable. The only Mable with a d.1969 is buried with another man. Did they live in Kalamzoo? Ann

Robert vs. Roberts
I hope you weren't insulted. I just meant that the spelling was different from the headstone and thought you would want to know.

My paternal grandparents and many of my Meme's people, including her parents are buried at St. Charles. I have taken over 300 photos in that cemetery because I was originally uploading to the US GenWeb Tombstone project. Findagrave is much easier to use. I checked through my pix the other night before uploading to and there were only 3 or 4, including the "Robert" photos that hadn't already been added there. As there are 1700+ memorials for St. Charles, I don't know how to go about taking more photos without duplicating efforts. Obviously someone else started in the same place as I did, and has gone a lot farther. I wish I could download the list of memorials somehow so I could take the list with me.

If you are a member of the parish you might know my son, Mark, who attends that church with his family.

Best Wishes,
Tina Brown

Ignace "Enoch" Streicher, Jr.
Hey Richard,
I noticed we're related to another person. Ignace "Enoch" Stricher, I saw you put him on here. Did he also happen to have a headstone? I found out this was my 3rd great uncle. He was actually married to Lawrence Laginess' Aunt (Mary Wiseman).

Edith Goniea Laginess
Hi Richard,
Thank you for giving me the information on Edith awhile back ago. Sorry I haven't wrote you back sooner, I haven't been on here in months. But I did want to tell you your 2nd Cousin 1x Removed, Edith Avanell Goniea Laginess. Her husband was Lawrence Dominic Laginess. Lawrence's parents were Paul Gilbert Laginess and Mercy Cornelia Wiseman
