Smart snow photos!
Michele: Smart use of snow with some of your photos at Pyrmont Cemetery from February 2010. I just happened upon the photos of the gravestones for Abraham and Barbara Cripe. That snow really makes for easy reading of the stone! Thanks.

Abraham Cripe - 48116743
Greetings from Wisconsin:) I am working on my Cripe branch and will be adding three of Abraham and Barbara's children (Daniel, Joel, and Jacob) that are buried in or near Stanley, WI to findagrave. In hunting down the connection to my direct Cripe line, I found that the death year for Abraham is 1864. The stone is difficult to read, but if you look at the date closely, the last digit is to far away from the 6 to be a one and also the shape of numbers are a little different. Please change the death year for Abraham to 1864.

Sincerely, Melanie Wheeler Popple
Jim Falls, Wisconsin

My connection with Abraham is that he and my great, great, great grandfather were brothers - there father being John Rhinehart Cripe.

RE: Overholser Reed
Thanks, but my Aunt Mary married an Overholser and as for the Reed name, Jerry Overholser Reed is the only one I know. I know their are many Overholsers in the Flora area, so someone will be thrilled to find the ones you post.

RE: Florence Ella Neyhardt
Thank you so much, Michele, for finding these two infant stones. I don't think I've seen them before. I've looked at my sketch again, and I show Adam and Alice Neihart/Neyhardt in the 13th row from the church, along with Mervin and Addie Anderson and their children Elsie and John.

Don't know why I didn't note that before.

RE: John Cripe-Prymont Indiana
finally got around to looking up these cripe names. i could not find them on my current tree. all the cripe's in pyrmont should be related to one another in some fashion. tonight i went through the cripe's currently listed in the pyrmont cemetery. i wasn't successful with any of them:( any other pics you take would be greatly appreciated. please let me know when you do and i will check into them. hopefully i will have better luck next time.
thanx much for your efforts, i greatly appreciate it.

RE: John Cripe-Prymont Indiana
thank you so much:) yes, i would say that most if not all of the cripe's are my relation. my great grandmother moved from pyrmont to wisconsin in 1894 when she was 13. they migrated to door county, wisconsin with two other families - her's (felix's), her future husband (cripe's) and peden's (related to the cripe's). some stayed in door county, while others, including my great grandparents, moved to chippewa and dunn counties. there were two other branches of my families that also migrated to wisconsin to indiana in the 1800's, the burt's and wheeler's.
i appreciate all the efforts that the people of indiana have made in creating wonderful genealogy records and also for the kind people that have taken and shared pictures on findagrave.
again, thanx a million:) any pictures that you can take of the cripe grave would be greatly appreciated. if you want to send them to me directly, i can put them on findagrave and then link them together with other families members. if you want to add them, that is fine, too. just let me know when you do so that i can check them out:) melanie -
