Bessie Zacek Uridel
Hello, back in 2008 you requested a photo for Bessie Uridel in Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago, but someone removed the request in Aug/Sep of 2014 before it was fulfilled. I am happy to let you know that I have found her grave and have posted a photo of her headstone on her memorial for you along with her husband John's. I made a memorial for him as well and will be happy to transfer him to you if you so wish it. Hope it helps.

RE: Reminder for Louis, Bertha, & Ida Koehn
Yes, the location you posted is very helpful. I can even picture the approximate place they are buried.

Can you please add this information to the individual memorials?

Once the snow and cold are gone I will venture to the cemetery to take photos for you. This will probably not be until late next month or early April. Ace

Reminder for Louis, Bertha, & Ida Koehn
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

Louis, Bertha, & Ida Koehn
Hi! Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home is a huge cemetery with well over 70,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there. I go here regularly, and since August I have found over 150 graves at Forest Home that had the location information provided. Thank you! Ace

Could you combine the two newspaper articles into one? I want to put the back of the stone that lists all of his ancestors, but there are too many pictures. Thanks.

Gayle Ann.

RE: Anna Zacek
I already have the pictures as I usually take photos of all the nearby graves with the same surname. I'll add those as soon as I have time.

I'm sure the others sharing the lot are connected somehow. The common stone is quite large, with the name Zacek on one side and the others on the other. The others buried there are Marie Lorr (1882-1946), Rozalie Komrska (1856-1930) and Frank Komrska (1856-1937).

I'm going to add the others as well and can transfer them to you as well if you like.

Anna Zacek
The only Anna Zacek with a death date of 1941 at Saint Adalbert has a birth date of 1866. She is buried with Vaclav Zacek Sr (1865-1937), Vaclav Zacek (1906-1926) and Agnes D. Zacek (1903-1924).
These Zacek's share a stone with the Lorr and Komrska families. Are these your Zacek's?

Picture removal
We were wondering if you wouldn't mind removing the photo on the memorial that we entered for Janice Newman # 67994642.
We have entered a photo showing her death date.

Thanks so much,
Jackie & Ralph

RE: Bertha Koehn/Kaehn
You are quite welcome, glad to do it! (It was not difficult getting permission to go to the cemetery, just a matter of call the institution and asking and giving them information.)

James Zacek
I visited St Adalbert's in Niles today. I was looking for James Zacek, but only found a Vaclav Zacek who died 12/4/1936 at 73 years old. He's in Lot 13, Section 14, no grave or block number. Could he be James? I'm not sure what the Czeck translation of James would be. If you think this might be the person you're looking for, let me know and I will attempt to find the grave.

Bertha Koehn

Hello! I received your request for Bertha Koehn at Lincoln Developmental Center Cemetery in Lincoln, IL. My daughter and I had gone out there just a couple of weeks ago to try to access the cemetery and were told that we had to write to the "state", Springfield, for permission to enter. You see, LDC Cemetery sits directly behind the prison here in Lincoln which is on state-owned property, as is the cemetery. Trust me, I find all of this to be totally ridiculous, but you have to get permission from the prison guards to pass through the gates to the cemetery entrance and they wouldn't let us go through. I wouldn't even know who to write to to gain access to the cemetery! If we do pursue this, I will keep Bertha in mind and get a photograph for you if we get in. Please leave her name on the request list, however.

If anyone else knows how to gain access to this cemetery, or who to write to, please let me know!

Sorry, Betty. I hope eventually we can resolve this. Politics! Yuk!!!
