You're welcome. I haven't gotten a request for this cemetery before, and always look to see previous requests. Sorry it took so long, but glad I could find them.

Thank you so much for taking a foto of her headstone. I am fairly new to findagrave, but I think I am supposed to ask your permission to use your foto on my ancestry site for Phoebe. Would you mind? Thanx much for considering ....Cheryl

Mary Grove
David,
I didn't check far enough. Sorry. Mary was the daughter of John & Barbara Lionberger, so her married name was Grove. She is on both my list and the one of Findagrave, but I don't have a picture of her gravestone. I live in Utah.

Mary Grove
David,
I have a listing of the graves in the Grove cemetery and Mary is not on the list. There is a Mary Grove, but she died in 1860 at the age of 8. I also have a listing of the Groves in the Providence Cemetery which is a couple of miles away and there is no Mary Grove there. I am related to the Lionbergers who married some of the Groves and are burried in those two cemeteries. I visited the cemeteries in the mid 90's.

Eckstine Memorials
I have observed that you added most of the family photographs and added a large number of tombstone photos of the Eckstine family. Would you be interested in maintaining the Eckstine memorials at Rest Haven? You may or may not know the owner has passed away.

Please contact me by e-mail.

RE: Michael Nigh
No problem David...I already had the picture here on my computer. I am actually planning, when I get the time, to map, clear and somewhat restore that cemetery. I had one I did (Chambers-Grubb Cemetery)this summer for my archaeology degree. It was in worse shape, with broken headstones and some so covered no one even knew they were there. I haven't forgotten about the Nigh cemetery though, and plan on doing it next in my free time.

RE: Charles Gassman
You're quite welcome! Glad to help out. The strange thing is that none of those Gassman's buried at that location had any dates on their tombstones. I've never seen a situation like that before.

Regarding Johnson Farm Cemetery
I contacted the Washington Historical Society regarding the possible location of the cemetery. It should be called "Thomas Johnson Farm Cemetery". They were only able to tell me that it was "south of Clear Spring". By looking at the amount of Groves that are buried there, I am thinking that the farm was once owned by the Grove family. By the time Piper recorded the gravesites in the Clear Spring area in the 1930s the farm was then owned by Johnson. Any thoughts?? Liz
