RE: LaRue
I don't know nor remember if I have taken care of this. I have rechecked my records and can't find any of the names you sent me. My LaRue line came from Arkansas to around McAlester, Oklahoma

RE: LaRue
My great Aunt Lucy Vaughn LaRue married Thomas Lonzo LaRue (his second wife) and they had 5 children, Thomas had 3 or 4 children with his first wife (Annie Moore). I have been unable to trace any records past the 1930 census and it showed them living in Lamar Co TX but from obits of their children I found out that Thomas Lonzo was living in Hugo Oklahoma. No mention of Lucy. So she probably died sometime after 1930 but with no more records available and no obits for her it is hard to figure out when. People had a tendency to simply forget the person once they died. If they are somewhere in your tree I would love to hear from you. My email address is jerkycaser@msn.com Be sure to put something in the subject line so I don't automatically delete the msg. Thanks Maranita

Moody stone
I personally have not seen this stone. The photo was shared by a friend of mine. Perhaps the next time I am near that cemetery, I will photograph the backside of the stone.

The Weaver Cem. Assoc. is trying to locate the site in the cem. where unmarked graves are. Could you please share the documented proof that Celia is actually buried in Weaver such as obit, death cert. Who are her parents, etc.

RE: Catherine Jones
The grave at the Sutter Creek Catholic cemetery is unmarked (the one to the right of the curb with white rocks), other than an unreadable mortuary marker. In talking with the cemetery managers, and counting up and down from marked graves, we determined which space it was.

Lela Thrasher photo request
Can you contact Grove Hill cemetery and get the burial locations for your requests: 214-381-7118
There are over 323 photo requests and the volunteers can not ask for that many locations.

Your requests will get filled with the location information. The cemetery does not like to cooperate with findagrave volunteers.
thanks!

Jeannine
Richard and Louisa Lodema Lee Cheadle
Dear Maranita Pettit: I see I am not the only one contacting you about Cheadles (Nathan Haines?). Our paths have crossed and I may have been the one to put him on to the Cheadle descendant he mentions in his message. Small world, right?

I am currently compiling in hard copy the Cheadle family history of which the above is a descendant (2nd great grandson of the progenitor, George Cheadle). My mother-in-law was a Cheadle. I am NOT requesting transfer of any memorials. I thank you for your advance permission to use your photos but wanted you to know that credit will be given such as "Courtesy of Maranita Pettit, contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ? ? ?" if that is agreeable.

My treatise is in no way a profit making project and will not (by my request) be posted on the internet nor will living individuals be included to the best of my ability.

You have no idea how much we who are of an age (I'm, 84) or distance and cannot traipse through cemeteries as we once did appreciate the effort and passion of you who contribute to Find A Grave. Many thanks from an old lady.

You are very welcome. I took some photos of others with the surname Metcalf at Rambo. Don't know if they are your family line or not. They are Bonnie, Doran, Elmer, James, Infant of James, Virginia & Eliza and Wayne. Do you want these as well?

And even smaller than that if the picture on your profile is you...I'm also a WAC. 1973-1978 before I got out and went back to college. That uniform drove me crazy....all you had to do was look at it and it wrinkled :-)

Magill Memorial
I updated the info you sent for Frank and Matilda Magill. Her headstone has her middle initial as W and you said her middle name was Jane. Is there also a W somewhere?
Good luck searching for the rest of their family. Wish I could help but Emporia is a little too far away for me.

RE: Cheadles in Oregon
Howdy,
Thank you very much. You done good. That was nice of you.
I don't need the pages. I am just helping this girl I went to high school with just for fun who is directly related and is a Cheadle. One of these days she might get into this and want to do some things on Find A Grave and then she might like the pages transferred to her. We will see. So far she is not doing any research at all but just likes hearing about it once in a while.
Thank you much,
Nathan

Rocky Mound Cemetery requests
The photos you requested for Charlie, Nancy and Esper Bacon have been added, but are at the Newell Cemetery in Cooke County, TX. I visited the cemetery this week and took pictures of all the headstones. Didn't realize that someone had created the cemetery under a different. Will request that the cemeteries be merged.

Anita, I am confused. You left me a note of thanks, but this man's name is unfamiliar to me. Are you sure I'm the one you wanted to thank? Maybe I need a memory jogger. lol

RE: Henry A TeVogt
Oh no. I would much rather have family members in charge of the memorials. I live in Yreka, CA and have been documenting local cemeteries. I also have a website "Siskiyou Cemeteries Central" that I maintain. I have removed my memorial for Henry TeVogt.
One of my great-grandmother's was a Pettit. We descent from Benjamin Franklin Pettit b: OH and d: CA. Please let me know if we are related.
