Link to McGuires?
Hey there, Joan. I see you're very active here on Find a Grave. Are you related to the McGuire family? I see you noted yourself as being related to William A. Callan who is buried at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery (died 7 Dec 1936). I am a 1st cousin 3x removed to William. I am assuming you are also related to the McGuire family? I am a decendent of (Captain) Michael McGuire who is buried at St. Michael Cemetery in Loretto.

I also live in VA (Centreville). I was born & raised here; my parents are from PA. My mother grew up in Gallitzin, hence I'm related to Michael McGuire through my maternal side.

I've also done the DNA testing via Ancestry. Have you?

RE: Ceceli Helena (Trexler) Wilt
Glad to help, Cecelia was my 1st cousin 3 times removed. Her mother, Ann Elizabeth Dodson, was from my side of the family.

RE: Elizabeth Krise
Elizabeth was the Wife of David Cree 1794-1871

She was the daughter of George Krise and Sara (Salome) Krise

Elizabeth and George married abt 1813

This should read Elizabeth and David married about 1813. George was her father.

Sorry for all the confusion.

Thank you Joan, figured you would be sick of me by now. All of the Grays with no photos at St. Marys are duplicates that you made, they are all at St. Josephs in Hastings. You also made the ones for St. Joes. Again sorry for sending so many at once. Thank you Trish

David
Daniel Dallas Helsel
Hi,

You've got the wrong date of death for Daniel Dallas Helsel. My grandfather, Edward Raymond Helsel, born in 1892, was eight (8) when his father, Daniel Helsel, died. I've seen the grave: Daniel Helsel died in1900, not 1915. If you look closely at the image of the headstone you'll see that it reads 190... As opposed to 191.... (The last digit is obscured.) I'm hoping that you'll make the correction. Thanks.

My great great grandfather was a Sergeant in Company K. Potentially, Sgt John Coho [Kahoe on muster roll & Coho on all other documentation] prodded Joshua Cretin into battle on Sept 17, 1862. Caring for Pvt Cretin's memory is my perpetual obligation by birth.
