I do not link to Burial Unknowns. You should not create a Burial Unknown to link family members or to create a tree. It is against site rules. This is Find a *grave*. There are many other sites for family trees.

Re: Albinus V. Kibler
Hi Joan - It has been some time since I've switched to this line to do more research - and I want to thank you for all the memorials you have created. You have done a fantastic job.
I have Albinus as son of Benjamin Franklin Kibler (1875-1934) and Annie M. Schrift (1874-1948) as found in the 1910 and 1920 census. I don't know if I would be able to put this in the edit tab or not. Maybe as a suggestion? Please let me know how you would prefer. Thanks - and again, my appreciation for all your time and hard work.

The tombstone only has the information you describe but Dovie was my Great Grandmothers sister. I have a copy of Dovies death certificate that can be found on ancestry.com.

I hope your new computer came with an automatic backup system! And that you copy to an external drive at least weekly. Sounds like you've got quite a job ahead of you.

RE: John D. Smiley
David was married to Mary Miller, but I have his birth as 1790, in County Derry, Ireland. They came to America, and settled in Graham Twp, Indiana County, PA. I have them as having 8 children: Nancy, Samuel, Elizabeth, Ellen, Mary, Susan, Hezekiah, and John D. Smiley. I also have names of spouses for these people.

Also: John D Smiley married Mary Ayers, but she had been married before. His first wife, Charlotte Raney, died, then he married Mrs. Mary (Ayers) Reese, born 1835.

RE: John D. Smiley
John was the son of David and Mary (Miller) Smiley. David Smiley was the son of Samuel Smiley and Elizabeth Bailey Smiley of County Derry, Ireland. Samuel was born in 1760 and died on April 24, 1834 in Beccaria Twp., Clearfield County, PA. Elizabeth was born in 1764 and died April 26, 1835. They are both buried in a tiny cemetery in the woods (the old Ball Cemetery) in Utahville, PA. I have actually found this cemetery and visited their graves. The headstones are still there, though Elizabeth's has been broken, repaired, and broken again.

John 'D' Smiley's son John Harvey Smiley was my great grandfather. I find it very curious that John Harvey Smiley's granddaughter (my mother) married a man named John Harvey.

Hope to hear any additional information you care to share; if you need information I can supply I will be happy to do so.

Horace Gray
I believe that Horace Gray is buried in Cedar Crest Cemetery, Trucksville. There is a photo there of the headstone. Trucksville is close to Shavertown.
