RE: George King 119006991
We might be related then. What I suspect is that George KING of Norwich, NY was father of Barbara, wife of John COOK whose daughter Rhoda married my 2nd great grandfather Hiram HOLMES. But George isn't Isaac's son if Isaac's son George died in infancy! Which is why I'm interested in knowing: What if anything can be read off the stone in the King burying ground? Was it transcribed when it was more legible? Does it actually say George KING and give dates 1755 to 1756?

George King 119006991
I'm researching a George King who was born ca. 1755 and moved ca. 1799 from Glocester, RI to Norwich, NY. I note that a George King appears in Scituate in the 1777 and 1782 Rhode Island state censuses as well as the 1790 federal census. It would be tempting to identify these various George Kings with the George who was son of Isaac King, except that this site says he died in 1756! However it also says "Note: Stone illegible and/or partially buried", and I can't find any other reliable information on Isaac's son George's life or death. So my questions are, how much is really known about what it says on the stone? Who transcribed it and when? Do you know of other information about George? Thanks!

Andrew Brown 41247433:
Sarah, I have info on Andrew! :-) He's the son of Andrew and Anne Brown and was born in Woodstock 15 Aug 1752. He married Ruth Rawson 3 Oct 1776 in Woodstock. She happens to be # 41247450 if you could link them. He died 7 Jul 1830. I know what you mean - transcribing weather-worn headstones is tricky, but we put info out there hoping it's at least a clue. :-)

RE: Too Many Requests
You may think that it is to many request, if so then do not take them. I live in California and not in new england area. all of the persons that I am requesting I may not know personal but all are relatives of mine.
Thank you for your help but just don't fill them if it is to much bother then.

Cemetery Hopper
Melvina Beane
I usually go there each summer but am not going this summer unfortunately. I do have her in my database, however.

Her maiden name is Melvina J Terrill. She was born 26 Sep 1841 in Sebec, Piscataquis, Maine to Isaac Terrill. I found this information in "Old Foxcroft", I believe. She married Lyman Bean on 4 Jul 1861. See 1880 census of Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine p.60A: Malvina J Bean, age 38,(married but husband listed in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine p.75A: Lyman P Bean, age 49, farmer, born in Maine), she & parents born in Maine, listed with children, Lydia A, 19, George C, 15, Llewellyn M, 12, Willis L, 7, Harry W, 3, and Herbert L, 1.

I should be traveling there next summer and would be happy to take pictures then.
