Fellow genealogist, you need to revise the death year of Lydia Thomas at Morrisonville Cemetery in Morrisonville, IL. As it should be 1892, not 1882.Also you may wish to add her birth date which was Nov 9, 1863. Thank you. Frank

Any chance you could transcribe what is written on Reverend Caldwell's gravestone? I am looking for the burial site of his wife, Zeralda Americus Meldrum, my great, great aunt, and I cannot tell if her name (and dates) is also on this stone.

This is to let you know that you need to change death year of Lydia Thomas from 1882 to 1892. As I made a close up of her tombstone which does still show one of the digits to be "9". As she was one of my maternal cousins on my Lee line. Frank

I request tons of corrections for memorials here in findagrave. And they see everyone of them with newspaper obits, death certs, etc. and NEVER remove or write anything to me. Maybe when they built Find A Grave, they thought this was good policy, but they sure are ignoring it now!

No, I will take good care of them, until someone closer related comes along.

No, just found an obit and thought I would add some additional information for others that might be. I have a cousin that is related to some of them.

Simpson Sisters
I believe there is some kind of mix up with the 2 daughters in the family of Thomas Jefferson Simpson (Find A Grave Memorial# 93206522) and Nancy Burnette Duncan Simpson(93206520). The information on the findagrave website (93206492) has the name of Pearl Simpson, but the birth and death dates are those of her sister Leatha Marie Simpson. Perhaps the tombstone is incorrect, but I thought you would be interested in the documentation. I have been unable to locate a burial record for Letha.
Thanks, Sue Lambert

Mrs. Sarginson was born near Morrisonville, daughter of Emery and Alice Jarrett. She was a sales person at the local variety store, Morrisonville, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Morrisonville.
Surviving are her daughter, Melba Brandenburg of Ontario, Calif.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces who cared for her.

Hi..This is the one I sent through edits. Find A Grave has many mysteries, doesn't it?
I f you could copy and paste this added info, that would be wonderful.
Thanks so much.

Greetings to Rives:

I am working on my wife's ancestory, which has an Alcinda Van Meter (d: 1834) who married Jacob Rhoads (1763 - 1832) in 1786 in Nelson County, KY.

Are you related to either the Rhoads or the Van Meters?

I have some information on Jacob Rhoads and his wife Alcinda Van Meter, would you be interested in receiving this information to update some of the Rhoads websites on Findagrave?

Do you information on the Rhoads family that is not posted on Find A Grave?

Yours in Genealogy,

Steve Burke

George C Briggs
Good Morning,
I wanted to chat with you about my Great Grandfather George C Briggs #97826991. I found out this morning that he is not actually buried in Carlinville with my Great Grandmother Bertie. She passed in 1962 and George moved to Houston some time after. He passed away there in 1979 and is buried in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. I found this information on his death certificate. I also spoke to my father and Aunt and they both confirmed that they attended his burial in Houston. They both said he would have made sure that his headstone with Great-Grandmother was also inscribed with his date of death. How would you prefer to mark the memorial? I have added his correct burial in Houston but feel that the Carlenville headstone should still be honored. Thoughts?

Delbert Duckels
Your entry for Delbert E Duckels is the same person as my entry Delbert Lyon Duckels. I have added the names of his parents. I suggest you either amend yours to include my accurate information, in which case I will delete my entry. Or you may delete your entry and leave mine. Delbert Duckels was my 2nd cousin and I can attest to the accuracy of my information since I have done a lot of research on this family. Thank you for your consideration. Notify me, please. Hello, Have sent a suggestion/correction regarding my great Uncle. Will verify it soon with a trip to Jerseyville, IL and purchase of death certificate. He and his wife were residing in Jerseyville to be closer to their daughter due their failing health. Kane was their residence at one time. What is correction to the Abbott and Adams families. Uncle Samuel's sister in law Clara is my grandmother.

Elijah Solomon Phelps
I inadvertently added the name of Elijah Solomon Phelps and linked it to his parents James N Phelps and Mary Louise Phelps and to his wife Ann Phelps. I didn't realize until after I had done so that you already had Ann and Solomon Phelps listed. Your Solomon is the same as my Elijah Solomon. You may either add the additions to yours, in which case I will delete mine, or you may delete yours and leave mine. There shouldn't be duplicates, however. Elijah Solomon Phelps was my great uncle and I have done a lot of genealogical research in this family and can vouch for the accuracy of the information which I put under Elijah Solomon. This is in the Old Calvary Cemetery, in Carlinville, Il. Thanks for your consideration. Jim Means

Thank you so much for the transfers and for creating these memorials. I had planed to do this cemetery because of all the relatives I have there, just never got there to get photos.
