Good Day, if you are not related would you consider transferring memorial #51257352 to me? If you are related, could you tell me how? Claude's spouse Jean is my husband's first cousin, just trying to keep my tree neat & tidy. Thanks. My Find A Grave #48186753

Hamilton Smith
Peter Bolston Adams
Mr. Adams was the son of Deacon John Adams and Susanna Boylston. This information was provided by Melody Clark Nov 19 2010.

What was her reference material used?

Like most people tracing their lineage, I am looking for her source.

Re: French to Beal to Blanchard
Sorry, Carol, sent you details in my last message that I meant to send to someone else. However, I do need you to add the parent IDs I've sent through for Sarah French Beal, which you can do by the normal means

Thanks, Julia

French to Beal to Blanchard
Thanks, Carol. Added the ids. so you'll have to accept them.

1, She has a birth date matching Joshua and Esther's Sarah.

2, She is one of these French's four or five top cemeteries, not in a county known to have Frenches of other DNA

3, Her spouse Eleazer had a Puritan biblical first name, even though it was getting "late in the game" to keep giving those to kids. My husband's Frenches were marrying other Puritans 80% of the time, true until the civil war killed too many Puritan-descended males of a certain age, so the "excess" women who normally would have married them started marrying men lots older or, if widowed with land, up to 10 years younger, or, done increasingly as time went on, switched to non-Puritans (in my husband's side, mostly Germans)

4, Her Blanchard grandchildren are in Brockton (Plymouth County), so are in one of the Frenches' major migration paths outward from Braintree. It's amazing those Blanchard children could all find jobs and stay so close, not have to fan out.

The original "ancestress" with very old stone, Grace French, Hancock Cem. in Quincy, was believed by some Frenches to have come from the Aldens of Plymouth, so it makes sense that French descendants are found down by Bridgewater (Brockton used to be North Bridgewater?) where the Aldens would be in greater numbers, with in-laws being part of the support system.

Grace being an Alden is a tradition rather than a fact, as no one wrote her maiden name down in her own era, possibly assuming "everybody knows it" was good enough!

Thanks for sending her along!

George Noyes
Find A Grave Memorial# 26558730

Would you please let me know the source of the info for this memorial, which has a birth date of 1918, and a death date of 1998?

I ask b/c I have three 'George S Noyes' in my research/tree, but the above info doesn't match any of them:

~ George S Noyes Sr
BIRTH 1863 New York (to Levi and Catherine Crocker Noyes)
DEATH unknown
MARRIED Annie Stephenson

his son
~ George S Noyes Jr
BIRTH 5 MAY 1894 New York, New York
DEATH 4 FEB 1977 South Chatham, Barnstable, Massachusetts
MARRIED Esther Ida Ritch

his son
~ George S Noyes III
BIRTH 3 JUL 1931 Boston, Massachusetts, USA
DEATH 25 JAN 1998 Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts
MARRIED Nancy Garland Thayer

I don't have a George Noyes born 1918 in this family tree - although there are many other George Noyes-es in the area. Your memorial doesn't have relationship links, so it's entirely possible this is a different George than my three altogether who just happened to die in the same year as my GSN3, but I thought I'd inquire about your source in an attempt to be sure. Any info you can give me would be appreciated.

Anita (in MD)

Hi Carol,
I see that there are duplicate entries for my parents. I do appreciate your work, but I think it would be better if we had only one each. Would you mind deleting your entries? I really do appreciate it.
Thanks so much, and I certainly don't mean to be rude. I think it is wonderful that people like you take the time to do this!
All the best,
Beth (Willenbring) Welton
