W. Raymond Wood
James Kipp's second wife
Greetings --
The Find-a-grave website for James Kipp lists Maria Culbertson as the second, Mandan, wife for him. The name of that wife was never recorded, and Maria Culbertson was in fact the wife of Kippís son Samuel, who married Culbertsonís eldest daughter, Mariah (sometimes Maria) in Platte County, Missouri, on April 26, 1856.*
* Marriage Records of Platte County, Missouri, 1855-1870, vol. 2 (Platte City, Mo.: Platte County Historical Society, 1985), p. 119.

Sarah Wood Memorial# 88621376
Thanks so much for the work you do on FindaGrave! I found this morning a great book, which lists Sarah Wood's maiden as Sarah Thomas.
It's a google eBook, Annals of Platte County by Wm McClung Paxton, and it has a page on the Wood family.(and an INDEX at the end!) It says the wife of William Wood is Sarah Thomas. Richard P Wood (their son,) is on page 1018, and his brothers' entries follows. Great info for anyone with family in Platte County.

Thanks Joanne for doing what you do for all of us! I was searching my unlces middle name as never knew it but am sure there is a long version of just S. I was about 13 when he passed away as he was married to my mother's sister at that time. I don't know much also about his side of family but kept in touch with his widow, my aunt for years until she died in 1995 I believe. She remarried so what I am trying to do is work on uncle Glen's side. Thanks for posting his headstone.

Kathy Hensley
RE: Hensley family
Hi Joanne. Glad to hear from you. Sorry I have answered before now. I don't get onto my email account very often. So now I am playing catch up. Am excited to find someone to might be related to my husband, Bob Hensley. John Thomas Hensley is a cousin I think of Bob's father, John Thomas Samuel Hensley. I haven't done anything on the family history in so long. I need to get my info about the family and see what I can do to help you. I know, it is so hard to trace the Hensley line. Bob did not know a lot about his family and I have finally found quite a bit, but there are still so many pieces missing.
I will definitely get busy and see what I can find out for you.
I will get back with you as soon as I can. Are you on Facebook? I use that more than email these days. You can find me under Lorena Hensley. My cell phone is 602-881-4233
Hope to be talking with you soon.

Survant Dick Johnson/Dick Percival Johnson/Dick Griffith Johnson
Hi. I am a descendant of all three of these men. This information might help clear up some of the confusion (I hope) John L. Johnson was the father of Dick Griffith Johnson. Dick Griffith had a son named Survant Johnson (for his mother's maiden name) Richard Percival Johnson was the son of Adamantine Johnson. All of these men are connected to one another in some way. Hope it helps you.

he was untied in marriage to Darline Neola. Thanks for keeping us straight.

Thank you so much fr adding the photo of my grandfather's gravestone.

You have unwittingly added Sara Jane Murphy as his mother's name. The correct name is Mary Jane Abbott. I am sorry to say father was responsible for this error which crops up on various peoples' searches. He incorrectly listed the Sara Jane Murphy name on his father's death certificate. He was never very interested in family history--obviously!

I have added the correct number link in my edit.

Thanks, Joanne for everything!

I've been meaning to visit the cemetery for a few years now. Another reason to go now that it's a bit cooler--a nice Sunday afternoon drive maybe. :-)

Are you related? Hubby would be 2C2R to Agnes. Elijah was his 3g-grandfather. --Ruthie
