Harry Brown mem 123071707

I am researching the Dowds family of Oh & Il. This is my wife's family. There is a Rebecca "Dowds" Brown buried at the Elwood Cem. Madison Co. In. Her husband was Harry Brown, he is also buried there, you show his birth date as 1880, my Harry was born 11 Mar 1860 in Knox Co. Oh. I believe he was a Dentist. Could you have posted the wrong birth date??? It's easy to mis-read a 6 & 8 on old records. Any help would be very appreciated.

Charles Pinkerton memorial
I see you left virtual flowers on Charles L. Pinkerton's (my great grandpa) memorial last spring. Are you a relative? I ask because a cousin & I want to have a reunion of all Koscuisko County Pinkertons in summer 2015, and we'll appreciate any names you could provide that we need to invite!

Byron Holdiman
Eliza Daniel Olels/Olds
Hello Tina,

Noticed that you requested a photograph of the tombstone of Eliza Daniel Olels/Olds. There does not seem to be a tombstone for her and it is assumed that she was buried in an unmarked grave. Interested in how you are related, as this is my Great-Great Grandmother.

I have the opportunity to travel the state at times and stop by the cemetery whenever I can. I was actually there today.

Thank you for trying to locate her for me. At least now I know her grave is unmarked. Thanks, also, for doing this for so many families. I hope to start recording & managing graves for others, too.

Mary Powell-Powell Cemetery
od Morning:
I was at this cemetery, again yesterday, there is simply no stone for Mary Powell - as you know, Taylor Powell's marker is there - I also took pictures of their children's stones and a stone for one Calvin Powell that I will post. There are several field stones beside Taylor's monument, could be that she is one of those. This cemetery is not large, so one cannot miss a marked stone. Sorry.
Also I see that you have family named Martin in Indiana. My son-in-law in Avon Indiana is named Mike Martin, he has their whole printed family history. His roots go to Greencastle - Putnam Co, Indiana and west of there.
Best Wishes.

Hi, Tina, I did some checking ,my source for where Louis Jr. is buried is the Wingerter/Potillo Family, Louis Jr.'s Illinois death cert. does not state where he was buried, but I do know that his Family was living in Madison Co. Ill. when he died.Let me know if you find anything out. My Wingerter line is Martin and Eva Catherina Rink Wingerter , their daughter Catherina Winkler was my great grandmother, Thank You Margie

Andrew Lawrence
RE: Lula Perry
Thanks for making the link! Sorry, I don't know Lula's father's name. What I've gathered is that Tense Galbreath had two children, Lula Irene and William Albert, before her marriage to her sister Susan's widower, John Calhoun Simpson. Their marriage was one of convenience, to provide for her two children and for Susan's daughter Vanie Leola Simpson (my wife's great-grandmother). Apparently, Tense and John slept in separate bedrooms. We are still searching for Susan Adeline Galbreath Simpson's place of burial (Tense's sister). She lived 1866-1899. It's odd that she's not buried at Livingston Chapel in Crane Hill, AL, with the rest of her family. That's all we know, I hope some of this info helps.
