The Owen Ragon (Ragan) buried at Scott Hill Cemetery was born 7 May 1787.

Through DNA testing, he is NOT related to Darby or Timothy Ragan. He originated from County Meath, north of Dublin, Ireland.

Olan Andrew Ragan
I'm interested in Olan Andrew Ragan because his wife was Gertrude Lillian Parr, whose mother was Katherine Amelia Arthur born 07 Jul 1870 in Esquimalt Twp., British Columbia. Katherine's mother was Pamelia Parmiter, born 07 Jan 1852 in Chaldon Herring, Dorset, who married William Arthur. Pamelia's mother was Mary Ann Hartnell, my 2nd great-grand aunt, born 09 Jan 1832 in Chaldon Herring, sister to my gg-grandfather who emigrated to Wisconsin.

I'm writing a history of the Hartnell family and searching to identify all known descendants, so all of these people and their progeny will be included.

A Ragan Cousin
Hi! I'm Nancy and my Mom was a Ragan.

I am the President of the Mercer County Genealogical and Historical Society, Mercer County MO. I am also the Secretary of the Scott Hill Cemetery Association.

Much of the information on Scott Hill is wrong, down to even being located in the wrong township.

I am currently working on the Calamity Jane newspaper (she was born here); and we are publishing a book on the cemeteries of Mercer County. I will try to get back to you sometime soon.
