Tommila grave in Brimson
I came across your cemetery record for the Tommila grave with no first name. According to the tree I'm working on, the grave is of Nestor Frans Tommila 1869-1937. His wife, Ida M and their son Martin F Tommila are also buried there.
Thank you for all the wonderful work.
Dianne M

Brenda--THANK YOU so much...your photo is perfect! Though my family visited Gene's gravesite, along with his brother Bill's, when we vacationed in Minnesota, I don't have any pictures of his headstone. I can't tell you how much it means to me! I will submit a request for transfer of his memorial; feel free to transfer any other memorials to me as you complete them...and thank you for being willing to go back to get the other photos when the weather clears. Your work is much appreciated! Kathy

RE: Rosa Laaksonen
oh my goodness!! We haven't been to Brimson yet, but we need to. Glenn talks and writes of it with love so much. According to Glenn, my hubby's mom used to go spend time there with her cousins and Irja/ Johan. I sent you Glenn's e-mail if you don't have it

RE: Rosa Laaksonen
Brenda thank you so very much for the marriage date of Aina and Mauno!!! As you could see, I was trying to piece together when they met in Virginia, married and moved to Willow Valley. You made my month!!! I don't have a subscription to any family history service. I so appreciate your help.

Mauno & Aina Lumme are my hubby's grandparents. Rosa is his grand-aunt and Johan grand-uncle. You must know Glenn Beckmann who gave us all a copy of Irja's book. I am so thankful that Irja took the time to document her life!! Beautiful!

Again thank you very much for your help. I so appreciate!!

21st Missouri web site

According to the web site for the 21st Missouri volunteer regiment, you are the contact person. However, the email address listed is no longer valid. I have some information on one of my family members that was in the 21st Missouri that I would like to get added to the site.

Do you still update the site?
If yes, how can I get you the information?

Kirk Walker

I am also a find a grave member.

Brugger/Yackel Winona
Hello - I took the picture of Bertha Brugger's headstone this week. She is buried next to two Yackels, but as far as I can tell they are only listed as "FATHER" and "MOTHER". I think they are Henry and Adelina, FATHER's dates are 1857-1929. MOTHER's dates are 1859-1912. Since Henry's death date is listed as 1929 and Adelina is 1861-1912, I'm thinking this is correct. If you think this sounds right, let me know and I'll fulfill the request with those pictures.

I have the requested photo and will try to get it posted on Find A Grave this weekend. I wanted you to know her husband Floyd is with her and noted on the same marker. Also, I noted son Philip Mark just a few feet away so I took that photo too. I entered memorials for them - if you want them, I will happily transfer them to you.

I had to take advantage of the nice day for Feb in Wis. My batteries died and I was going to go back today for the ones I didn't get. I knew it would be colder, but when I woke up we had a dusting of snow, lol. Glad I got your uncles for you!

RE: Jelinski - Holy Cross
Below is the list of Jelinski in the Milwaukee Catholic Cemeteries. That how I found the plots.

Normally you can get more information from this then calling them.

or Click on Genealogy and enter last name.

After you find the person. Under the info is a link:
Search for nearby graves or crypts
Click it

Uncheck what you don't want like grave or change the numbers

You will get a list of who is buried near by.
