RE: Rebecca Ackerman Strelitz,
Cadmus, Thank you for your kind offer, but I am not related. Everytime I would read one of the pages in the old editions of the Central Record newspaper it had a huge banner advertisement for the Joseph Store across the page and it made me curious as to who they were. Since the Joseph family were such a big part of the early history of the town, I added a few obituaries and it kind of snowballed. They left Lancaster in the early 20s and I was just working to link them up since they ended up so far away from each other. Thanks again :) Laura.

Pamela Thompson
Gravestone Photo Permission
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Marvin Alford in Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery (Memorial# 24935745).

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of South Carolina Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—
Permission granted by the photographer, Cadmus [or name if you prefer]

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

* Uncle Franklin Rogers *
Hello Cadmus, so sorry to hear about your Uncle. Please accept my condolences for his loss. Thanks for letting me know so that I could pay my respects. He was such a gifted, multi-talented individual & I love the fact that he was an animal lover, especially 'feeding the Squirrels' in the backyard. I enjoyed reading about his life.

My blessings to you and the family.

BTW: I was curious about "Coins left on Tombstones", but was unable to access.

RE: Prayers - Franklin Rogers
BROKEN CHAIN by Ron Tranmer

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

May God richly bless you and yours,

Love the memorial you set up for my Cousin
Please help me with the changes for Roger Lee Chambers. I appreciate all you have done. You are among the BEST people on Find a Grave. Wish everyone was as wonderful as you are.

If you find it in your heart to make the edits I requested I would be grateful. I would like to write a better biography for him that would serve as a tribute to him and would gladly appreciate you keeping what you have already written.

Our veterans need to be honored and you have done much to honor my cousin.

RE: Eva & John Memorials,
I know you have a connection to the Anderson family. I wanted you to have the memorials. Teresa

Thanks for the memorial of Glenda. I had written her several times over the years, I did not know she had past away. I did change the spelling on Burnetta, the family papers I have and her death certificate spell her name as Burnetta? But I will go with the spelling on the headstone. Again thanks for the work you have done.

Thanks for all you do!
Thanks be to God for all of your work, I recently lost my sister to cancer and just saw a memorial letter you put on here to someone(Some things I'd like to say, but first of all to let you know that I arrived ok, etc) that was one of the most beautiful notes I have ever read, and I certainly will pass it along to my heartbroken niece, I am sure it will help her, It did me, God Bless all of you and keep up the great work.

RE: Catfish,
Woodson is only a 7th cousin to me but I had been looking for information on him and his family when I stumbled across your memorial and to be honest, I'm just happy he has one. I tried to reach the Somerset City Cemetery today to find out if he is buried there but no luck yet. If I discover his burial location I'll certainly let you know. Again, thank you for creating the memorial.
