buchsenshutz cemetery
you don't know me but i live in the area of this historical cemetery. i have been back twice to cut bushes and branches and thorns away from the graves. i never could find anyone that would respond to my requests to go and help me clean up the gravesite, so i did it myself. i hope you and others do not mind. i saw photos of what the cemetery looked like about 4-5 years ago. i almost had to take Indiana Jones with me to get through all the brush. but i managed. i also retook some photos. i just like looking for old or lost cemeteries. at 65 + years old, it keeps me active. the gates are still locked on the south side of the fence. i used two small step stools to get over the fence, to keep from damaging anything. i saw a broken piece of stone in the ground on the northwest corner of the fence[towards the end, as you enter the property on the right side]. i was not sure what this was, as it looks like someone broke it years ago. was this another headstone??
also, a large rotted tree has fallen on the fence near where i cross over, but i do not have a chain saw to remove it.
