William and AmeliaTelfer
I have a photograph of a Telfer headstone for William (1836-1892) and his wife Amelia (1835-1928) As you can see these are different dates than your requests and I could not find another. Let me know if you would like the picture. Best wishes.

Hello! Its your far off cousin Mary. I was wondering if you could add the rest of DW Dyal Sr's children to his listing. There were 12 total including my great g-pa DW Dyal b 2 April 1872 d 10 Oct 1934. He is on find a grave but I'm not sure about the others. I have their names if you need them. Also, my email is not working correctly. Please email me at

I just went to the Pleasant Grove cemetery in Durant to take your Dyal pictures. The one for Rhobideu was clear. This cemetery is strange. Most graves have a large cement slab over what would be the entire grave area. Next to Rhobideu is another slab but no headstone. It appears to be missing because I could still see the indentation. I have not been able to get to the church cemetery sextant but will verify the location of David and Jose and see if there are headstones for either of them. I did walk the entire cemetery.

Rosa Rhoden
I could not find her grave. I saw that she was related to Juanita Crews. There are Rhoden graves in the area. There may not be a stone for her.

RE: Email
OH! Well, that's easy!

Google Central Florida Memory

Go to Collections

You can search the Carey Hand records - but that's all that's there. If your people weren't handled by them, you are outta luck.

RE: Email
Hi Debbie! I haven't actually been to Lake Hill Cemetery. Anything I've done there has been from records found online. I'm really only familiar with Palm Cemetery in Winter Park, Conway Cemetery and I'm a down right expert on Greenwood in Orlando.

I suggest you contact someone who has done the actual photos out there. I THINK it's been completely photographed - what's visible, at least. I understand it's quite sandy and it's suspected that many markers have sunk - especially the oldest ones, those relocated from Patrick and Beasley cemeteries in the early 1900's.

Anything at Greenwood? I have the cemetery census book here on my desk, I live down the street and I practically know where every family is buried in the old sections.

Ida Alice Wilks Dyal

Hope you are doing well! I noticed on Solomon Wilks and Lurana Dyal Wilks children you don't have Bertha Havanna Wilks listed. She was also a child. My great grandfather was married to oth of those women before he married my great grandmother. Do you know what happened to Ida or Bertha? How did they die?
