RE: Abijah Searles
Thanx for the awesome tips on Jesse Bailey and the pension records. I was more curious as to how you felt Abijah Searles was at Resurrection Cemetery. All the other entries there on Find A Grave are from the 1990s and 2000s. Upon further poking around I found an Abraham Sears 1748-1850 at Brunstetter Cemetery (Old) Memorial #31232898. Perhaps this is our guy?

Abijah Searles Mem # 27989992
Was wondering about this memorial. Abijah Searles is the only member of the Searles family listed as buried in Resurrection Cemetery. How did you find that he was buried there? Is he buried with his second wife Jemimah? TIA

Hi Bryan,
I am leaving Colorado for about 8 days. I will be happy to take the photo when I return. I will leave the task unclaimed in case someone can do it while I am gone.

Smejkal Bohemian National
Hi Bryan
As you can see Frances Smejkal is buried along with John 1843 1918, it seems that someone else has established a memorial for him and Antonia (Antonie also a different birth year 1857) is buried with Vaclav 1856 1916.
Also on the site are the following:
Anna S. Engers 1873 - 1955
Frank W. Engers 1860 - 1935
Anna Smejkal 188? - 1908
Frank G Smejkal 1863 - 1922
Minna C Smejkal 1867 - 1916
Bunescu Lillian 1898 - 1976
Let me know how to proceed and Request a Photo for all that you want.
Thanks Rich

Sarah Gooch Terry
I am working on family Terry for a friend and her ancestor is Sarah Gooch Terry, her GGG Grandmother and she was interested in getting more information you can e-mail me. She said Sarah married Joseph Terry, and lived in Goochland, VA?

Let me know if you think this is the same Terry?

RE: Days
Thank you so much for the reply, My Mom remembered it was across the road from Mt Hebron and down a good distance into the woods. I Pray my mind is as good as her's is in my late 70's lol

She (My Mom) was afraid with the new house being built there that possibly the graves couldn't be found. Thanks so much, I haven't a doubt we will be heading there soon :)

Day Cemetery (Carroll/Floyd Va)
Hi Bryan
Could you possibly place a map and description on the Day Cemetery and add
"All Stones Are Hand Carved Field stones"
You finding and photographing the two stones was a Fantastic find!

My Mom and I would like to go and see if we can find the other field stones that Mom remembers being there 30 years ago.
Thanks so much for your help

Pond, Robert-White Deer Cem
Bryan, noticed that you take care of all the area Terry people. I have transferred Robert Pond to you as he is the husband of Bertha Terry Pond. Not my family. I grew up in Borger and do remember when Foy Terry was a commissioner or something like that in Spring Creek--best friend was from Spring Creek

Thank You,

Hey Bryan,

Do you know who this is? I think it's Elijah Washington Terry and that his wife's name was possibly Sarah Robinson Anderson...

Since you're a Terry I thought you'd have the 411.
