RE: R. Logan
Thank you so much Miriam, for your kind attention to this memorial. It is much better this way, as there is no guarantee that the cemetery information is correct on this one, being it is such a very early burial. Better to keep to the facts. Thanks Again!

RE: Clara Phillips
Thanks so much for adding the bio and so quickly, too. No need to transfer. I am just doing a little research on some of the early Cambrians in the cemetery, and this story was pretty interesting and tied into several of the burials, so thought it would be nice to show. I will do a little bio for Clara's husband, William as well. Thank you!

RE: Lewis Family Tree
Hi Miriam,

Just got back from looking at 7720 Kentwood. When we lived there, as I said, we lived in the little guest house in the back. The front house was one story, not two. Looks like most of the lot is taken up by the main house. I tried to look, but I'm not sure that the little guest house in the back is still standing. I wonder how many square feet it is now. When we lived there, there were 1.5 baths, and 3 bedrooms, and a formal dining room in the main house.

I went and looked at 5893 W. 74th Street and 9404 Hindry Place. It makes me sad (though I know it shouldn't be that way) to think that I don't recognize anything in any of those photos.

Hi Backatcha Miriam,

When I was growing up we lived about a block (west and south)from what is now the 405 freeway adjacent to LaCienega and Arbor Vitae. The north side of Arbor Vitae is Inglewood and the south side of Arbor is techically Westchester. It is or was 90045. You had asked me about that but I forgot to mention it. After I graduated from Westchester High School, we sold that house and bought 5893 West 74th Street. The nearest cross streets for that address was La Tijera and the 405 Fwy.

Thanks for the information about 7720 Kentwood ... it's not a long wasy from where you live, right?

RE: Lewis Family Tree
... whoops, I wasn't finished but the damage from my strokes has ruined lots of things for me.

So, to clean up my mess ... it looks like you've done too much already ... but if you wish you can take a photo of the "Webster" person who is next to my grandmother, I know my mother would love to have it. Mom lives in Palm Desert, so she doesn't come to the metropolitan Los Angeles area much anymore.

Right now I'm so confused I don't know whether to s__it or go blind anymore. I hope I don't have to live to my mother's age.

OH! And I'm not sure I mentioned it in our early correspondence. I graduated from Westchester High School in 1964. When I married my ex-husband we moved into a home on Kentwood ... maybe 7720 Kentwood. HEY! I'd love to see what that house looks like now. There was a little guest house in the back yard where my ex- and I used to live. His parents lived in the "big" house in the front.

Thanks again. You're a saint.

RE: Lewis Family Tree
Miriam ... I hate to tell you this, but you have already done too much. I'd love for you to help me more but I think you've done enough already.

My name is Mary Lewis (nee Bestor). You found my mother's father's sister and her husband (Amye and Charles Cooper in Hollywood Forever Cemetery). My mother's father was cremated and his ashes thrown into the sea near Newport Beach, CA. Oh, now that I think about it, my grandmother's brother (my mom tells me) is right next to my grandmother. Her name was Mary M. Koontz (nee Webster).

You found my father's grandfather at Woodlawn Cemetery, Grave 320, Lot A, Block 1, Santa Monica, CA. He lived in Inglewood, but he died before the cemetery in Inglewood was opened. You found Nelson Henry Bestor's wife (Alice Isadore Perkins--my grandfather's wife) at the Inglewood Cemetery and photographed it as well.

So besides the fact that you've already taken photos of all my blood relative's everyone in my family

more Goodnos at Inglewood
Hi, again,
Just in case you noticed, or are there again, there are three more Goodnos at Inglewood, probably not far from William and Vesta. Robert Harry Goodno and wife Marian Elizabeth Teuchert Goodno, Emma Ray Meade Donoho (her husband Harry Charles Donoho is in Kansas).

Thank you so much.

Helen and Edward Preble
Hi Miriam,
I was surprised today to have a picture of a grave marker show up in my inbox for Helen and Edward Preble at Inglewood. I knew that a marker was being put out there, but wasn't aware that it was there yet. So somebody else was out taking pictures and took a picture of it. You wanted to know when the marker got out it's now there. Hallelujah! I was going to contact you soon to tell you it was there. So I thank you for letting me know there was no marker for Edward and Helen. It's there now! Thanks for all your help with all the pictures you took for us! God Bless you.
