I took photos for Thomas H and Ella Wiggins Newsome today. I wanted to let you know that in Ella's picture, it looks like bird droppings (sorry), but its not... it's actually some king of plant growth on the stone. I stopped by between church and work tonight, but I can go back with a toothbrush and water to clean that off and take another.
Also, I didn't see the one for W.A, but I will check again next time I go.
Sorry I couldn't provide all three today, but it's a start. :)

|TFickett||Ruby and Grover Harrison|
The area that Ruby and Grover are located in is getting new grass. I went ahead and took the pictures but will take new ones once the grass is in and it looks nice and green.

|Ferris Waller||Eliza Platt|
While I was there, I took a photo of the grave next to Eliza Platt. The headstones were almost identical, so there must be some kind of relationship. The name on the other headstone is S. P. Thomas. I hope this was some help.

|William "Ernie" Connell||Gant photo requests|
Please be informed I went to Oak Hill Burial Cemetery this morning. There is no burial marker for David and Cynthia Gant. The records show they are buried there however. The superintendent of cemeteries and I went to the burial spots but there are no grave markers. Sorry. I did find a grave marker for Willis Gant and will be posting a picture of that marker hopefully this evening.

|Sharon Harris||RE: Gant/Connell Families|
Hello! I was very glad to do it. Please let me know if you would rather have some "sunnier" pictures. It was raining out yesterday, but those are the days I love best. It is no problem for me to make a second trip.
Really, they are in a nice little quiet place! I saw many more Gants and Connells out there.
Let me know if I can help further!

|Sharon Harris||Gant and Connell photos|
I got to go cover your requests this afternoon. It is a well kept cemetery. It was raining out. It was a calm, grey, quiet walk, but I managed to find them. Jason Gant, you may want to check the year on that page...plus it appears there is a duplicate page.
Additionally, I found many other Gant, Gantt, and Connell stones, some of them I don't believe were listed. I took a handfull of other pictures, I do not know if they are related to you. They were scattered all over the cemetery.
Anyhow, if you would prefer, I can go back on a sunny day and take some brighter pictures, with no problem.

|Gravediggin (for info)||I took pics of Maj Lanier|
I finally made it up to the cemetery yesterday and got some pics. I've already uploaded the one I "claimed". I have some others in my camera for other members of the Lanier family. I'll send you the names when I get a chance and we'll get those uploaded as well. Sorry, the marker won't help you with "Born" or "Died" dates. There are none inscribed.
It may take me a day or so before I can get you the other names.....I'm busy on other stuff, but I'll do it soon.

|Gravediggin (for info)||Laniers at Little Ogeechee Cem|
I think I was a bit off on my estimate (100-150) graves at that cemetery. I just looked at the list of interments for that cem and there are over 300. Anyway, there are 27 Laniers listed and, for sure, one of them appears to be a child of Lewis and Esther. There is a "Capt Noel Lanier" and the dates are perfect. There also is a "Maj Lewis Lanier" dates unnknown. Have you seen that list? I noticed you are farly new to Find a Grave (as am I). When you see a cemetery listed on Find a Grave, the name is a link to more information. If you click on the name of the cemetery, you can see a pic or some names who are listed as interred there. Anyway, I said I would go there tomorrow, I want to clarify. Right now is 4am Sunday and I plan to go there on Monday.

|Gravediggin (for info)||Laniers|
Thanks for the response. If all goes well (weather included), I'll go to the cemetery tomorrow for some pics. The cemetery isn't huge so I should easily be able to find the names if they are there. There are probably 100-150 graves. There are mnny Blackburns, Mortons and Duggers there.
When I return I'll let you know who I found. The cemetery is in Oliver, Ga., how far away are you?

|Gravediggin (for info)||Lewis Lanier|
I claimed the request for Lewis Lanier. I've taken pics in that cemetery recently. Is there any particular information that you're looking for. Is there a particular angle for the picture? I'm about 35 miles away and will take the pics on Monday (7 Apr). I notice there are several Laniers interred there according to the "Find a Grave" records for that cemetery. Will you want other Lanier pics while I'm there?
