|Donna Brummett||Elizabeth Clegg|
It has come to my attention that the Elizabeth Clegg buried in Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cem. Find A Grave #61373726 is not the mother of William Clegg since he was born in 1839 and she died in 1838. Thank you for your help.

From one 6th great granddaughter to another. You are illegible for the DAR.
My connection comes through Israel to John Wesley to Frank Milton. Frank was my great grandfather. I remember him and Nannie Lou.

The only marker at that plot is for James' daughter. Many, many headstones are overgrown, partially buried, damaged, or simply gone from this cemetery.

|Brenda Laney||Price family|
Hi, I am helping someone with their family. I was looking up Ada Belle Keisler Price and her family. I found the obits. Thank you. I am trying to find their daughter Doris Christine Price who married Warren D Joye and moved to NC and then to Virginia.
Also I would like to know if you are related to the Welch family in Columbia, SC (or was when I was growing up) My uncle married Annie Ruth Welch and the Welch farmily lived down the street from my Whittle grandparents.

|David Pike||RE: Robert F. Gibbs - Squalus Victim|
Glad to hear about the personal connection to Robert Gibbs. I know his memorial will be in great hands and appreciate your willingness to open some space for at least one more grave photo. I'm curious to see what it looks like in total. I am originally from Iowa and one of the Squalus victims, John Marino, was from Marshalltown, only 30 miles from where my Dad lived. We went over and found a very small grave marker with just his name and birth/death dates. The Iowa SubVets raised money and replaced it with a more fitting grave plaque and on May 23, 2001 (I think that was the year), a memorial service was held attended by Marino family members including one surviving sister and 125 others. It was covered by a local TV station and featured several speakers including the President of the US SubVets national organization. It was a very good ceremony and a great tribute to the Squalus victims. I think I mentioned my father served on the Sailfish in WW II, the re-named Squalus.
Best, David Pike

|David Pike||Robert F. Gibbs - Squalus Victim|
Would you be willing to assign this memorial page of Robert F. Gibbs to me? He drowned in the sinking of the submarine USS Squalus in 1939. I have created a virtual cemetery listing Squalus survivors, victims, and crew members of the boat when she served in WW II as the USS Sailfish. My father served on this boat and I had the honor of meeting several Squalus survivors in past years. If you are not interested in assigning the page to me, could you remove one of the generic cemetery photos so I can have another grave marker photo added?
Many thanks for your consideration.

Thanks for checking on them, I think they might have been buried in Barnwell or Edgefield perhaps.
When you looked, did you find a Sarah Ann Hodge Posey who died in 1916? I found her deach cert. however it did not give husband's name but said she was widowed. Wishing the cemetery list would give who is buried next to her as a clue. Thanks again!

Hello dwelch, I see you have taken some photos at that cemetery and wonder if you know anything more about burials there. I've posted some Posey family photo requests however am searching for a Preston Arthur Posey who supposedly died in 1862 and his wife Sinah Ann JOHNSON Posey who supposedly died in 1880. Many of their children are buried at this cemetery. Any sources of info would be appreciated.
