RE: Benjamin Morton
The children of Benjamin D. Morton and Sallie Goode Morton were: John William who married Willie Haskins; Sallie Lavinia who married Judge Henry Wood of Clarksville; Edward Leigh who married Shannon Cramer; Agnes (died young); Benjamin (died young), and of course Maria Belle. Sorry I don't have dates. This information is from McCullough, Yesterday When it is Past, p. 259.

There is a funny story about Belle and your ancestress. After Benjamin remarried, his new wife did not want a portrait of the first wife's mother peering over the dining room table, so she had it removed to the woodshed. When Belle realized it had been removed, she went to the woodshed and retrieved it and took it to her room. (I too am a second wife and I would have done the same thing with a portrait of my husband's previous mother-in-law. No way would it stay in MY house.) The portrait, an oval faced primitive, has remained a family treasure, as much for the story as anything else.

I will keep a check on Sarah Wood, however it could take 6 to 8 months for a marker.

You are welcome. Yes, I got Mabel's, too, and posted it. And Duncan and Alice Gray McIntosh. And a Margaret Smith, whom I assume was a McIntosh, but I can't find her death certificate to get more information.

You're welcome. Yes I did see Nellie's grave. She is next to him on the right. I wasn't sure if they were related because his headstone matches the one to his left. I didn't see a request for her photo but I will be back in that section tomorrow. I will add her pic.

RE: Benjamin Wesley Kilgore, Jr.
Thank you for writing. I knew Ben & Violet when growing up in Franklin. They went to my church and were both wonderful people, quite special. I left Franklin for college (in the dark ages) and have only visited since. Now I often hunt for the people few of us are left to remember. Having assumed they were Kentuckians I had for a while looked in the wrong places.

I was unaware of Ben's heritage but it explains a lot. May I offer you my sincere compliments on your Find A Grave work and, as a genealogist, compliment your fine family's accomplishments. You must be justifiably proud. Most impressive.

My scanner is down but before too long I hope to add a sweet snapshot I have of Violet as parade marshal at a Fairview , KY, event back in the 1950's.

All good wishes for a Merry Christmas & a fine 2016, Ann P.

I didn't get a photo of Edgar - He is in a different part of the cemetery. I will look for his marker the next time I'm there.

Hi

In fulfilling your photo request for Dudley Barr, I found his wife Mary Etta Barr. I've uploaded her photo as well.

Cheers,

Glenn

RE: Thomas Palmer
His grave is in a section with small plots, some single graves. I did not see any other Palmer nearby. I check and photo all family members of anyone requested. I checked the Cedar Hill Cemetery records and did not find any record of Lillian Palmer. (records are now online at cemeteryfind.com and you can access it from Cedar Hill's website too). Sorry!

You're welcome. In addition to Daisy and Eugene Anderson that you requested photos, there was another stone inscribed with the name Steele Anderson in the same plot.
