You are receiving this message because you have submitted a photo request for the above named person(s) . I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling to that area from Dallas during the first week of June and I would be able to get the requested photos for you. I do need some help from you tho. While I am in the Chicago area, I intend to get as many names off the list for Evergreen Cemetery as possible. The list is growing every day and is now at 263 requests! Evergreen Cemetery is near and dear to my heart as I have several of my own family members there. If you would please call the cemetery office and obtain the burial plot locations and send them to me, I will for sure get them for you when I go there in June. If everyone could get me the locations I could really get a lot of requests done but I can't do it alone! The office number for Evergreen Cemetery is 708-422-9051. They will also be able to tell you whether or not there is a headstone. In addition to Evergreen Cemetery I will go to St. Mary's to get your photo requests for Grantz. I noticed you already have those locations listed so I will get those also. You can leave me a public message with the information, or you may email me at Please be sure to reference the requested names. Thank you!

RE: Bessie
contact the cemetery
here's how:

Please call 650-755-0580 and get the grave location and add to the memorial so that we can get you some photos.

Or, contact the cemetery office via email in order to obtain the grave location.

Please post to the memorial or Send a Correction to the memorial owner
so that it can be added.

here is another way to find Some but not All of the burials

Once you have done this then it will be an easy matter for us to go out and get your request fulfilled.

RE: Bernadette Morin
I've been obsessed with cemetery research at Springfield Cemetery for several years. The information is entered in the index card file at the office. The card file includes most of the 31k+ burials to present and all of the cremations performed since 1910. Burial registers from 1841 to June 1868 are no longer existing but some information was recorded in other records.

RE: Bernadette Morin
I posted the info with the photo request so that a photo volunteer would be sure to get the info. They could even contact me if they need further help (ex., because the cemetery office is closed).

There's no indication at the office of whether there is a marker. The grave is six rows from the road and the second of three adjacent single graves the southerly end of Bethel Path.

I live across the street from the main entrance, on Maple Street. Right now, the grass and soil are quite saturated with water and needs to dry out before I can dare ride my power wheelchair on it! :)

RE: Danny Casper
I will try the cemetery is really hard to find people in there are no plot markers. I only know the name of the section he is in because my grandparents are in the same section. They never are there unless there is a funeral. Spring break is coming and I will try and time my visit with a funeral.

I uploaded photos you requested for Herbert Hawley (124417574), etc. They were taken in Jan., 2014 and are extremely poor. I'll replace them once the weather cooperates, but thought you might want to see these in the meantime.

RE: Oak Woods cemetery Chicago
Hello Barbara,

I have no information at all on the Oak Woods Cemetery. The burial information for Samuel Faulkner and Cornelia Everts came from the Illinois Death Records at

Chicago is way off my beat. I live in Los Angeles and my genealogy efforts focus primarily in Vermont and Washington Co., NY. I'm not even sure how I got to this couple (they're so far out on one of the branches of my tree), other than that it looks like I was working on the Smiths not the Faulkners.

Sorry to be of no help whatsoever.

L. Fowles.
Think we are getting closer by talking with the cemetery/Whitefield Historical Society as to info. for Lydia. Another FAGrave member shared advice on extending my search. Was not sure about adding info. on Samuel's memorial, but it clearly says still waiting for conformation before listing a burial location. It was nice to see my 3rd Great Grandmother's name and a little info. for her on my 3rd Great Grandpa's memorial page! Please keep in contact- thank you. :) You mentioned they are your 4th great grandparents?
May I ask which side you are related from?

Lydia Huchins Fowles.
Hello, My 3rd Great Grandfather is Samuel C. Fowles, Memorial# 70582824. I see where you have some Fowles Family listed. Lydia Hutchins was Samuel's wife. She is a mystery other then the information in the bio section for Samuel. Will be checking with the Whitefield Historical Society, there are clues she may be buried in a unmarked grave beside her husband. Could not help but wonder if your research on the Fowles had come this way- Jefferson and/or Whitefield, Maine.
If you would like, please contact me through the correction listing on Samuel's memorial.
Thank you. ~Debra Ann Account#48495444

Question...I went through my notes and found that Mattie's granddaughter also thought that her grandmother's first husband was named Tobe....where did u get that name from....a family member or did u find it online???? I looked high and low on line for a Tobe or Tobias Wootton and never found anything....then when I found Mattie and her tomb stone....I assumed that Joseph L. Wootton was her first husband....maybe Tobe was a nickname???? What do you think?

Philip & Maria C. Gagle.
Some of the churchyard records for Saint David's, Myk. were destroyed in a devastating church fire in 1879, so gaps are to be expected. I copied those records surviving and compared them with the city records, adding any missing names that I could, before creating that beautiful record book (restoration) that everyone believes to be the original on because of its very Victorian-looking handwriting.

However, I did find a "Phillip Gagle" listed in the 1820 Census in Northern Liberties, a section of Philadelphia. Perhaps you have already found this. -- jcm.

Added by JOHN CHARLES MANTON on Feb 18, 2015 8:15 AM

Philip Gagle is the only interments recorded in the register for this lot. There is no mention of any interment of Maria C. Gagle or her relationship to Philip, only that she is the lot's original purchaser. -- jcm.

RE: Gagle
The lot in Saint David's P. E. Churchyard, Myk. that Philip Gagle was buried in on 28 January 1851, was originally purchased by Maria C. Gagle. It is Lot No. 167 (Northwest) which, according to the surviving churchyard lot map, is located immediately adjacent to the wall of the West transept of the church building. Lot No. 166 (Heap) is adjacent to the North end of Lot No. 167 and Lot No. 168 (Foster/Wyatt) is on its adjacent South end. There is no date or co-owner's name given in the "Lot Index." Hope this helps. -- jcm.
