|Carol Tomlin Stevens||Tomlin Cemetery|
I recently returned from a genealogy trip to Gloucester County,
New Jersey. My son and I were able to locate the original Tomlin farmhouse built in 1710 on Jefferson Rd, near Mullica Hill, NJ.
The Old Tomlin Cemetery is said to be located in the edge of the woods behind and to left of 549 Jefferson Rd., Harrison Twp, NJ.
I am looking for someone who knows the area to lead me to the
Tomlin Cemetery. They are my ancestors. Matthew and Elizabeth Tomlin were the first of my family to come to America from the old country.
Could you assist me in locating the Tomlin Cemetery?
I read where it is located, but I need someone to actually lead me
to the exact spot. I would like to see where my ancestors are buried.

Thought you might be interested in this. It's pictures of them and an article about their 50th wedding anniversary on page 13. https://newspapers.library.in.gov/cgi-bin/indiana?a=d&d=SBNT19221003&e=-------en-20--1--txt-txIN------#

What year did Anna and William get married? My grandmother was born in 1927 her mother Anna Cicerello disowned her in 1945 due to certain personal issues they had.

I had a typo, I meant to say great-grandmother

Do you know how I can perhaps contact the next of Kin? I need to verify if this is my great-great grandmother. So far the names of her parents match the names of my great-grandmother's parents. But a lot of people back during that time period had the same names.

Hi, I just wondered why you added duplicate memorials for Matthew and Elizabeth Tomlin in 2011? I see that memorials for them had originally be created in 2002 by another Find A Grave member.

I found her and uploaded it to the memorial I found for Emma M. Roth. It appears she has 2 memorials set up.

Good news. Ethel is alive and living in Hawkins. I was at a Memorial Day luncheon by the American Legion in Hawkins (I go every year) and was talking to some folks about photos for Find a Grave. I mentioned William and Ethel and the fellow said "Oh, she lives across the street".
I stopped by. Didn't meet her. She is 97 (born 16 Dec 1916) and has dementia. She has a caretaker who said she would probably love to get a card or letter.
If you have questions for her, her caretaker might be able to help get some answers from her. Many times the old memories are still in tact.
Her address is on Ancestry.com as a public listing.

Maybe she can help. Or at least say hi.

I don't know who she is, but I took a photo and added her to Hillcrest Cemetery in Hawkins. She is buried right next to William, so I figured related. No birth or death dates on head stone. I'll see if I can cross reference her in Rusk Co., records on Tues.
I might be able to pick up the request in Umatilla, Oregon. I'm driving to a graduation in the tri-cities area in a few weeks.

It's the right cemetery. A nicely kept open little cemetery in the woods.
From Hawkins, Rusk Co., Wisconsin go north from the intersection of U.S. route 8 and County road M 5.2 miles. You'll pass what is left of the town hall for South Fork then over a narrow bridge. Turn right immediately after the bridge on to Cranberry Rd. About 1 miles up the road on an S-curve, the cemetery is on the left.
You can go to Google Maps or Google Earth and follow the road. You can see the head stones. Theirs is on the last row on the South side. Can't miss it. You can read every headstone there in 10 minutes.
I'm going to Hawkins Hillcrest today. Hope to find William Rybarczyk for you.

I'm happy to have been able to help. You can tell him that she's in a really peaceful area of the cemetery. In that section each block has a statue of one of the Stations of the Cross. Mary is in Block 2 so she's in the Jesus is Made to Carry his Cross section.

Hi! In regards to your photo request, can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.
Elmwood Cemetery: (708) 453-0273
Elmwood is a huge cemetery with well over 30,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there and take a photo of a grave. I go here regularly, and I have found over 150 graves at Elmwood this year that had the location information provided.
Thank you! Ace

Hi - I don't think your John Schmitt is buried in St. Joseph Cemetery Mishawaka. I checked SB Area Genelogical records for this cemetery (Penn Twp Vol 1, part 1), which would have a record of the grave if it could be found. I believe one of your memorials for him in St. Joseph Cemetery South Bend is more accurate.
