RE: Thank You
Dear Sarah:

You are so very welcome Sarah!

It is my wish that memorials I build are found by family and claimed someday. Your Great-Aunt & Great-Uncle are buried very near my husband's Great-Grandfather Bernard N. Barnes in an older section of Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas. As the picture shows the shovel on the marker, it was buried and we unearthed it to take the picture.

Older sections are not visited very often it seems.

Have a wonderful summer!

Absolutely! Already transferred your Great-Aunt and Great-Uncle's memorials to you for care. To have a family member ask is coming full circle here on Find a Grave. Always pray that someone will come soon.

Have a beautiful day!

RE: Nancy Stella Whitemore
Yes, Uncle Roy worked for the water department. Nora Lee and Wanda are older than me. About the time I came along the Butlers got a surprise baby, my cousin Peggy.

After working Hillcrest, I have come to believe that everyone in Forney is related to everyone else. Pinsons, Venners, Bannisters, Butlers, Roddys, etc etc etc.

RE: Nancy Stella Whitemore
Not knowing your age (snicker), I don't know who you might have gone to school with. Any Butlers? Nora Lee, Wanda, Peggy? My folks started in Forney with Arcadius Butler who married Exer Fleming and begat Mary Fleming Butler, my grandmother, who grew up in Forney. Her brother Roy was the father of the brood mentioned above.

Thanks for clearing up the Whittemore issue. Most of the ones buried at Hillcrest are listed under BOTH names.

RE: Nancy Stella Whitemore
On my list are Whitemores and Whittemores. Do you know if they were the same or different families? Are you from Forney?

Thank you again for taking the photos. Cindy

Thank you! I live in Lexington, TN, and couldn't have gotten these photos myself. If you need anything from here in West TN, I'll be glad to try to help out.

RE: Robert Covis / Cavis
Thank you. I have never transferred anything either. I am basically an ametuer here. LOL I have created some memorials but never transferred any. I have been so busy putting my own on I have not had time to put anyone on yet that does not belong to me. The other day I took a couple photos in our local cemetery for others. Still learning.

Hi, Sarah.
That's ok. I appreciate your willingness to help me; the weather just did not cooperate. I'm glad you had a beautiful day and hope the rains were beneficial to you.

Robert Covis (Supposed to be Cavis)
Thank you for adding Robert's tombstone photo. Robert Lee Cavis is the son of George Smart Cavis and May Belle Whittemore. He had a twin brother name Royal Dee Cavis who died the day he was born.

RE: Hillcrest Cemetery
Yes the photo you took is the right one. I do not know why her last name is spelled Covis. Everywhere else it is Cavis with all her ancesters, siblings etc. The Robert you mentioned is her son.
Thank you so much for posting the photo and for the future Whittemore photos.

Feagin family
Hi, Sarah, was just thinking of you and wanted to send you a warm "Hello". Do you know Linda Feagin Harwell - she is, also, a Feagin genealogist. She lives in Texas. Still want to meet you sometime.

RE: George Feagin
Hi, Sarah. I connected you with your e-mails after I sent you the reply on Find A Grave. I, also, have lineage thru Daniel Feagin: Daniel Feagin, Thomas Feagin, Matilda Feagin Collins, Lillie Dora Collins Walker, June Walker Scrutchfield, and, then, of course, me. Last year, we met another cousin (distant) - Darrell Collins - his lineage is. also, thru the Feagins.

George Feagin
Sarah: I saw the memorial you left for George Feagin - stated he was your gr gr uncle. My gr gr grandparents were Thomas Feagin and Martha Jane Gray. I was wondering which branch of the family you were from. Obviously, we are related somehow.
