RE: Guynes, Laura H.
The info came from my 1st m-i-l and her research. She was a descendent of the Hart family. She was a school teacher of some 30 years and very particular in her research. Other than her info, I have no other source for the Emily. Laura Hart would have been a gg--- aunt to my first husband.

Good luck with your research.

RE: Lilley family - Dakota IL
Hi Bettie, George and Mary are not in my family. When I find old obits on the internet, etc., I add them to Find A Grave. I would be more than happy to transfer both of them to you:) Just let me know. And I'm sorry, but I don't remember where I got the photo of Mary, possibly on Ancestry?

Do not feel like you bothered me. I appreciate you contacting me. I may find they are the same. I do not like duplicates and always appreciate the chance to make it right.

Thank you for contacting me about the Lynch memorials . I do not think at this time they are the same because one died November 1979 and the other November 1976. I am doing some checking on the one that died in 1979 and if I find they are, indeed, the same, I will delete one or the other. At this time I am leaving both.

RE: Maude Lilley
I am not sure if any of the Lynches are still living around here. I don't personally any.

I linked Maude to her father.

Bettie, thanks a lot for the latest transfer as well as the other earlier ones. If you recall, I mentioned the photo which showed both Jeff & Edna's markers. Well I've made sure that one is up on both their monuments now that they're connected together. Thing it presents more information & shows that they're buried side by side.
Regards,
Larry....

Jeff Mitchell # 74904586
Believe I've made a connection to Jeff as Thomas Jefferson Mitchell. By searching Ancestry.com, I've found too many notes from different sources that kinda point to it. He's buried next to Edna Holder whom he wed in 1893 in Polk County. I found a posted photo, labeled "Jeff & Edna", which shows the same tombstone you have posted, only its more to the right of it & shows Edna's stone as well. On FIG, I've already changed the name on your page and updated dates and locations for birth & death. I'll tell you what, genealogy is nothing but looking for clues & piecing them together, at times!

It states in this description that Sarah Jane McIlveen Gregg's father, William McIlveen, served in the revolutionary war for 61 days. Does anyone know where this is documented as I am a fourth great grandson trying to prove lineage for an SAR application? Any info would be a help.

Earl Lemuel Morris
Bettie-someone else gave me this information and I will pass it on to you. The state of Texas put all of their birth and death certificates through 1977 and some of their marriage and divorce records online FREE OF CHARGE. You go to www.familysearch.org You have to create a user name and a password. Hit Search at the top of the page. A new screen will come up. Type Earl Lemuel Morris in the boxes with birthplace of Texas. Then hit search. If there is a little camera by the name that means you can view the official record free of charge online. All the information I gave you I got directly from his death certificate.
