|Eleanor Colson||RE: Edward Thomas Randle|
I believe mine is correct. BUT I do have an older Edward Tom Randle in my files who was born about 1840 in Georgia. I have him as dying 06 September 1876 in Austin, so that is probably who the stone you mentioned is for. Edward Tom Randle born 1878 who my memorial is for was his nephew.
I can make the memorial for his uncle if you would like me to.

I can delete it, not sure why the other part is missing but the page is at max pictures, so I can't add the other part again. It will be a little bit before I can find the article again in my archives..

Most of the spellings are Swan. I am going to get a gravestone picture when I visit AL in May and that will help. You know there is a senior and a junior, right? And the 3rd child is Mary Alice Westbrook who married three times. I think the best place to look is Elmwood. I'll let you know what I find.

Connie: Sad to say that findagrave use to combine duplicates and/or delete those with no information on them. I don't think that will happen anymore since Ancestry has taken over the site. Sad to say - for many it's all about numbers.
You have the choice of adding information in the Notes & Flower section OR creating a new memorial.

Sorry Connie, Linda solved it. She looked through Aunt Dot's records and found that he's the son of Great Uncle Swann. I thought he must belong with us, I just couldn't find it.

Take care of that infection!
Want a mystery? I saw that buried in Blountsville Cem. AL there is a Hubert Westbrook, Son of __ S and Mary L. Westbrook.
I wanted to hook him up to his parents but I'm not seeing who it is he belongs to. When you are feeling better, take a look through your info. and see if you can find out. I love getting the kids hooked up to the parents!
Guess What! I got Sarah Louisa transferred to me today. She's the first child of Pickney Alexander and Ann Elizabeth Shields and would have been my great aunt. I am descended from her brother William Marcus Westbrook. Poor thing died after 2 days. Pickney had a sad beginning with his family, but it turned out alright after the Civil War. I don't know who took care of William Marcus after his mom and sister died until Pickney returned. William was about 1 year old. Life was hard back then. Anyway I'm happy to take care of Sarah's memorial page.

Sorry to hear that you had surgery and I hope you will have a speedy recovery.
Yes, it's all straight, thanks!I found a Westbrook Family Tree on the internet. It led me to the Isle of Wight, VA. It's been interesting to research that county and to get the Westbrooks in the history of that location. Do you already have that?
Take care of yourself!

I spoke to Dorothy today, this is her Uncle William, and his middle name is Marion and no one ever talked about him being Junior and William Marcus being Senior. William Marcus was called 'Papa Westbrook' by his grandkids. We're thinking it was a mistake on William Marcus' gravestone and then continued on William's. William Marion never did marry. He was a lawyer but I don't know what kind of law he practiced.

Could you add in the bio:
Alma Lee Westbrook B. 1894 d.1896, buried in the Methodist Cemetery Blountsville, AL
Florence Jane Westbrook m.John Lloyd Davis

Aunt Dot has a picture of Paul Westbrook and wrote that he had worked for the FBI and that he died in a plane crash in China. That's all the information she has, though there might be more that is not accessible in her heaps of info. His brother Marvin has a memorial and father Luther. Can we do something for Paul? Do you have any information?
Should we wait until I visit Aunt Dot and possibly get some dates, and maybe verification? Paul and Aunt Dot would have been 1st cousins.

|Gail Starr||RE: Eunice Westbrook Jones and Rueben Aaron Jones|
Thank you Connie! My Aunt Dorothy has lots of information on her parents and their siblings and her grandparents. She was doing a tremendous amount of genealogy but she's 85 now and can't see well.
I have requested that Mary Dean Cantrell be linked to her parents Wilmer and Ruby Westbrook. I have also requested a photo of Evelyn Daniels grave which we believe to be in Plot 19. She's an infant daughter of Cora Westbrook Daniels and I'd like to see them linked. I've also requested a photo of Mary Elizabeth Jones' grave b.1922 from that same plot, as she is Eunice and Rueben Jones 1st child who died at age 5 of diptheria. She's my father's older sister. I'm going to link Dad, but I don't see pictures of Milton S. Jones and Arthur Stanley Jones(my dad's brothers), buried in that plot 19 also. So I need to request that so the family will be completely linked. Dorothy Jones Henderson will be buried in the Athens City Cemetery next to her husband, when the time comes. Again, I appreciate all that you've done. Gail

Eunice Westbrook Jones and Rueben Aaron Jones are my grandparents. I appreciate all the research you have done on behalf of the Westbrook Family. I was wondering if you would transfer their memorials to me #48659061. My Aunt Dorothy is their only living child and she will help me write a bio and add their pictures. She may want to add to some of her uncles and aunts or grandparents but I can just send those to you and you'll put them on, right? Your name stays on there as creator of the memorial and then my name goes on as manager.

|Peggy Hill||RE: Williamson Henry Westbrook|
Sorry about being so long in responding on your request. I had trouble with my email address but seems to have it straight out now.
I can't say for sure if Williamson Henry Westbrook and his wife is buried at Stanford Cemetery or not. But I do believe they were. They lived in that area.
I am from Monroe County, Mississippi and am related to the Westbrook's too. My great grandmother, Laviney Henrietta Westbrook Hawkins, was their youngest child and only showed up on one census.
As for the death date of Williamson Henry Westbrook it was February 1852. I got this date from legal papers recording in the court records in Aberdeen, Mississippi.
Hope this helps. I have been doing genealogy since 1992 and simply love it. Keep in touch. Would love to know how you are connected.

The problem is on my end the pictures are right side up. I took all the pictures right side up to start with...to add to the problem I deleted the originals... I did have another findagrave member fix them for me but now they have a blue tint to them...
Most of the photos are bad anyways. It was cold windy and I was in a hurry to get warm...I plan on going back out to the graveyard and retaking the photos so that they are a higher quality picture.
Sorry for the confusion. And thanks for understanding!

|Shelton||RE: Pleasant Wilson Stone|
Yes you are correct, any private land that has a cemetery on it, you can go into the cemetery under their rules, so if it is 10 miles down the road they can say park your car and walk, and that is what you have to do. In this case I just have not gotten to talk to the owner yet and when I do I am sure it will be no problem, just want to speak with them first our of respect for their land.

Connie I was trying to get the picture Pleasant Wilson in Key cemetery. This is a private cemetery. We were unable to get in cemetery, so I am looking for who ever owns the land to try and get permission to go onto the land. I will try my hardest to get a picture for you soon. Sorry I claimed this and was unable to deliver on time.
