Thank you so much for the photograph of my great great grandmother's gravestone! I don't know why I didn't notice it earlier - or I would have thanked you sooner!
I went to Howe cemetery a couple years ago and couldn't find it... so I'm very grateful!
Thank you again.

|Cashie||RE: Bethel Cemeteries--Additional Thoughts|
Hi Harry, Thanks for your message. Sounds like you and I are in agreement on the situation with the Bethel cemeteries. I went ahead and sent a message to the Find A Grave administrators to clairify the names and locations, and especially change the reference to Farmington to the other cemetery. They are pretty backed up I have heard, so it may take awhile to see the change. Cashie

So for the 2 Bethel Cemeteries listed on Find a Grave, they each have their correct GPS.
However, their names should be altered on Find a Grave to be more clear.
If I have it right they should be as follows--
Bethel Memorial Park Cemetery
Fayette County, PA
Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery (Not active?)
Lower Tyrone Twp
Fayette County, PA
If anyone knows who entered each of these cemeteries in Find A Grave originally, that person could make the changes on the main cemetery page themselves.
If not, we could send the info to administrations at Find A Grave, and they would hopefully make the corrections in time. Let me know, I will be glad to contact them if needed.
In the mean time, I am sending messages to memorial managers who have memorials in Bethel C. of C. Cem. which should be in Bethel Memorial to move particular ones to Bethel Memorial Park.
Quite a few memorials have already been moved to their correct cemetery.

I ran into this situation as I began work on a Fayette County cemetery. I believe if you go to the link I will add, you will see a transcription for the cemetery, where you took your photos.
If it looks right to you, it is Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery, Lower Tyrone Township, Fayette, PA.
On Find a Grave, the cemetery listed now as Bethel Cemetery is a hodge podge of some that belong in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery, and some that belong in Bethel Memorial Cemetery, and maybe others.
The Find A Grave Bethel Cemetery has the correct GPS for Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery. Did you enter the cemetery originally? If so, then you can just edit the name of the cemetery to hopefully make things clearer for others and then your memorials and photos are in the right place as far as I can tell.
If I can be any help, let me know.

Thank you Harry for the transfer of the Jordan memorials. I am looking forward to linking them to family members and adding something biographical.

|Whetsel||Bethel Cemetery Fayette County|
Harry, Would you consider removing the photos you've posted for Bethel Cemetery? Unfortunately these photos, as beautiful as they are, are not of Bethel Cemetery, Farmington, Fayette County, PA.
I speak from firsthand knowledge. I've been researching and documenting Fayette Cemeteries for almost 15 years. This is also my maternal family's cemetery of three generations.
The pics you have posted show a possibly deserted cemetery. Bethel is active, well maintained and growing.
I would be more than happy to send you current pics of Bethel and do whatever I can to help you locate the deserted cemetery that you have photographed.
Additionally, if you could advise me on how we might merge the two groups of listings on Find A Grave for Bethel. This is all one cemetery.
Thanks. E. M. Whetsel

Thanks so much for taking the photograph of Charles and Blanche Cartwright. I really appreciate it.
You wouldn't have happened to see any other Cartwrights in the near vicinity? I'm looking for Charles' brother Preston and his first and second wives Goldie and Anne.
Is there an online resource to check for graves in Pleasant View or Fayette county?

|debbie blinkhorn||David McClelland|
Just wanted you to make a small correction to one of your sites. David McClelland in Rehobeth Cemetery in Fayette Co. Pa. Belle Vernon. If you look real close on his stone it states death date as February 15, 1826. That is correct but, it also says he was 48 years old 8 months and 28 days old, that would have made his birth year 1778. You put 18something. Thankyou for the photo and I can see how that happened.

|WichitaFalls||William C. Mcknight|
I was adding memorials to this cemetery and saw William Mcknight already had one but the date is wrong, The death date you have is 1913, it says 1918 on the head stone when you zoom in.
