Sarah C. Ritenour #27127797
She is a sister of my great-grandmother, Mary Ann Hall Nichelson, and the daughter of John Hall, b. 1806 and Nancy Layland, b. 1808, both in Wharton Twp, Fayette County, PA. I thought you may want to link her to her husband, Irvin Ritenour #27127784. I have links to her siblings, but don't think they can be linked without the parents' info which I have not yet located.

Sara Judy Reed
Just a minor correction for Sara Judy Reed. Judy is her maiden name, not her middle name. Her full name is Sara Catherine Judy Reed. Also, could you link her to her parents for me? Her father is Find A Grave# 44797370. Her mother is 44797388. Many thanks. This completes a whole family. Sincerely, Brian Ocock

Bernard and Catherine Sloan
Thank you for taking this photo of my great-grandparents grave marker. I had never seen it. My father just told me that this photo was posted in Find a Grave, and earlier I believe you were in correspondence with him, his name is also Bernard Sloan.

Coincidently, my partner and I have become volunteer photographers this summer; it's a lot of fun.

Thanks again!

zillah cemetery/James Elder
You posted a photo of James Lee Elder in the Zillah Cemetery. Can you tell me where in the cemetery I can find the headstone? I have other relatives I visit there, didn't know he was buried there.
And do you know who and how to contact the person who takes care of the cemetery? I have an issue with my mom's plot.
Thank you

I found your photo request for Jacob and Julia, the stone is in great shape but needs cleaned badly, if you want, this spring I can clean it therefore getting a better picture. let me know what you want. I have been trained thru the Indiana DNR on the proper way to clean headstones.

Thank you so much for the photograph of my great great grandmother's gravestone! I don't know why I didn't notice it earlier - or I would have thanked you sooner!
I went to Howe cemetery a couple years ago and couldn't find it... so I'm very grateful!

Thank you again.

RE: Bethel Cemeteries--Additional Thoughts
Hi Harry, Thanks for your message. Sounds like you and I are in agreement on the situation with the Bethel cemeteries. I went ahead and sent a message to the Find A Grave administrators to clairify the names and locations, and especially change the reference to Farmington to the other cemetery. They are pretty backed up I have heard, so it may take awhile to see the change. Cashie

Bethel Cemeteries--Additional Thoughts
So for the 2 Bethel Cemeteries listed on Find a Grave, they each have their correct GPS.

However, their names should be altered on Find a Grave to be more clear.

If I have it right they should be as follows--

Bethel Memorial Park Cemetery
Near Brownsville
Wharton Twp.,
Fayette County, PA

Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery (Not active?)
Lower Tyrone Twp
Fayette County, PA

If anyone knows who entered each of these cemeteries in Find A Grave originally, that person could make the changes on the main cemetery page themselves.

If not, we could send the info to administrations at Find A Grave, and they would hopefully make the corrections in time. Let me know, I will be glad to contact them if needed.

In the mean time, I am sending messages to memorial managers who have memorials in Bethel C. of C. Cem. which should be in Bethel Memorial to move particular ones to Bethel Memorial Park.

Quite a few memorials have already been moved to their correct cemetery.

Bethel Cemeteries--Confusion
Hi Harry,
I ran into this situation as I began work on a Fayette County cemetery. I believe if you go to the link I will add, you will see a transcription for the cemetery, where you took your photos.

If it looks right to you, it is Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery, Lower Tyrone Township, Fayette, PA.

On Find a Grave, the cemetery listed now as Bethel Cemetery is a hodge podge of some that belong in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery, and some that belong in Bethel Memorial Cemetery, and maybe others.

The Find A Grave Bethel Cemetery has the correct GPS for Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery. Did you enter the cemetery originally? If so, then you can just edit the name of the cemetery to hopefully make things clearer for others and then your memorials and photos are in the right place as far as I can tell.

If I can be any help, let me know.
