Thanks for taking and posting photos of the headstones of Julius and Wilhelmina Kurdelmier in the Denison cemetery. I didn't realize they spelled their name as "Kurdelmier" until I saw your photo. Thanks again! -- Ken Johnson

|Dan Hoffman||Mildred Adle|
Thank you for searching for the marker for the infant Mildred Adle buried in the Oakland Cemetery. Even though you found that there was no marker, the information you provided from the records was very helpful and I have included a note on the memorial page indicating that a marker is not there. The three Hovers in that plot were her mother's family. Best, Dan

|John Johnston||3 Brothers Johnston|
3 Brothers Johnston (John, William, Thomas)
Between 1845 and 1850 three of the sons of William and Mary Johnston of County Fermanaugh, Ireland, removed themselves and there families to the `new world'. They arrived at the port of New Orleans and traveled up the Mississippi River to Rock Island, Illinois. The three brothers and their families settled in Bowling township, Rock Island county and Preemption and Perryton township, Mercer county. The families had a habit of inter-marrying and if one was to look closely at the following chart they would find several cases of first cousins beginning a family. Along with marring other Johnston's, the offspring of the brothers married into other Irish families with the names listed on the heading. The Johnston and Hutchinson name is not as well known in the three township today, as it was 100 years ago, but I am sure there are a number of person who could trace their ancestors back to one of these Orangemen. I would be most interested in corresponding with any person researching these Mercer and Rock Island county names. The following tree only shows the three brothers and their children; much more information is available for those that have an interest in this family.
I may be oldest living descendent of John above. He is my great great great grandfather.
Joseph Johnston (my great great grandfather)
John W. Johnston (my great grandfather)
John L. Johnston (my grandfather)
John Deloss Johnston (my father)

Mr. Prince -
Sorry for the long delay, but this is in response to your message:
"Just wondered if you had looked at all sides of the tall stone as John Guinty's wife is not listed in this cemetery but their son is. His wife was Mary Agnes and I believe went by her middle name, Agnes, and died prior to him.
John's Grave Memorial# 101539992
Thank you for any help as well as all you have done to offer stone pictures for those of us to far away."
I did look at all sides - Your email came a day after I had been there! I went back to the cemetery recently. The north side of the stone has writing, but the outdoor elements have worn everything away. The west and south side is what I have posted, and the east side is blank. If you want current photos of all sides, I can email them to you, just send me your email. Thanks. J Coker

Thank you for adding your photo of Edward' grave marker on to his memorial. Edward' memorial has his last name wrong so I informed the manager of the memorial to correct it.

|Rod||RE: Edna Eckhoff|
I wonder about that also. I have found engravings that are incorrect. This may be one of them. The other references seem to be pretty accurate of Christine as a middle name. I wonder if she had a nick name, or another middle name?

Sorry...I see I made a mistake on location...

Pauline A Doonan or Pauline A Fortmann Doonan do appear to one and the same . This problem comes up with a second marriage and we may leave both names. Undecided
Thanks for noticing- Dave

No, I am researching for a good friend who is the relative. She is the granddaughter of Hazel Vida Butler who married Willard Osmun. Hazel's parents were Otha John Butler and wife Sarah Elizabeth Gorsuch, Find A Grave Memorial# 86167729 & were my friends g. grandparents.
Sarah Gorsuch Butler was the daughter of Thomas Bosley Gorsuch & wife Margaret Ann Murrow Gorsuch.

Would you mind if I kept a copy of the Gorsuch family gravestone you submitted at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=38014318&PIpi=53504320
It would be for private use of the family.

I believe you are referring to a different Evelyn Dawson. There is a Social Security Death Index for my Evelyn and the years match the years on her gravestone.

I've just transferred the memorials for Earl (116034265) and Lester (116033959) Rayner to you. Looking at them now, I'm kind of embarrassed that I posted such a poor photo. If I can locate them again on my next trip, I'll re-do it. Or if you replace it yourself, I won't be offended.
