I forgot to add, but you may have already noticed. I linked William Hart Adams and Bessie Lands together. She ended up marrying a second time to a Jenkins.

Hey Gerry, I read it again and I made a mistake and misread it. I'm so sorry. This is what you had sent:
"William Hart Adams married 1909 Bessie Land. I do not find her buried here. I joined is parents William Avelena Horry Adams and Eudora Princella Causey to him. I do not see his parents Reverend Avelena Horry Adams & Sally Ann Thompson yet."
I just misread it. Bessie Land is buried in the Payne Gap cemetery though. Sorry for the confusion, lol.

|Jamie "BamaFann"||Willie H. Adams|
You sent me a message saying that you thought Willie Adams was not buried in the correct cemetery (Trinity) because his wife was not buried there. I looked and found that his wife married a again after his death to a Richard Jenkins. Richard & Bessie Mae Land Jenkins are both buried in the Payne Gap cemetery in Dekalb county, AL. Hope that helps out. They are both listed on Find a Grave.

|Kathy||RE: My Ancestor Elisha Rogers|
Hi Gerry, I understand your frustration where John Rogers children are concerned. I live in Union County Tennessee and by water, it's not a long distance from where John Rogers settled in the Powell Valley area of Claiborne County. Most reports I've read state he had up to 25 children from 3 wives but like you, I've found no proof. My line comes from his oldest son William who also settled in Powell Valley along with a brother Major David Rogers. No records I've found ever show a wife living here with him, but early records were lost in a fire at the Courthouse. There is a book on the Rogers family in the Claiborne County Library but I don't know how much of the information was confirmed and it seems a lot of the facts stated in books and elsewhere state things as "family tradition". I used to have a few pages copied from the book but that was many years ago. If I can find it, I'll let you know. Meanwhile here is a website I check sometimes which list most of his children and does give some references. http://rogers-ben.com/benjamin/john/index.htm
