On the memorial Andrews four Children you put in the Flowers that they were children of Julia and Valentine Andrews but they are the children of Joseph & Ida Andrews.

Thanks for transferring my Aunt Evelyn's memorial to me. I will up-date her information and share this with her sister. My mom cared for her sister during her illness until her death. They loved each other dearly.

Thanks for your work especially at Lily Cemetery. We have several family members in this cemetery. I remember many family gatherings for the funeral and burials of our family membersat Lily Cemetery.

Kersey suicide
Thank you for the extra info! I will try and track down that article. I did find a free article about it on Google just now, but there was only a small paragraph.

I had a pretty good idea that Mr. Kersey had killed himself. His brother killed himself and I think at least another member of that family did as well. It is a sore spot with some of the family, so I left only a note on his memorial about the article for those who want to find out more.

Thanks again! :)

My husband and I are now working on this as you have sparked our interest. Can you tell me how you found these names as I cannot find Lela? Any info will help us to find and link this family. Thanks so much.

My compute cut off, did you receive the 1930 census info I sent?

RE: Evelena Lemacks
1930 Desoto County Census shows Evelena living with her parents Lee A. Lemacks and Eliza, wife; children: Angie Lee; Evelenda and Robert. There is also a A.B. Lemacks with wife Lalula and children: Gladys Tompkins, granddaughter. This info is per ancestry.com which we have a subscription. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

RE: Evelena Lemacks
If you like to keep in touch, my husband knows Evelena's nephew but he has no contact info. and my husband will gladly ask him any info you would like, just let me know. I have requested from Dorothy Sunday to manage this site so I can add info. such as the grave's location since there is no headstone, your thoughts were mine also when I took the photo of the grave marker, sad.... My email is beckyg01@yahoo.com (that is a zero and a one). I believe Clyde Sr. who is on findagrave might be Evelena's brother. We are looking now at the census on anestry for your original question.

Evelena Lemacks (Rayl)
I do not know her family as she was married to my father for a very short time and actually I never met her until after my father passed away and that is where I obtained the photo. My husband knows a little more about her family I believe and will pass this along to him. If I can be of any further help, let me know. Hope you have a great day.

RE: THANK YOU!!
Hi,
I am glad I could help. Now for the bad news, I took over 500 pictures that day in the cemetery and I really do not know where she is located :-(
I live about 35 miles from the cemetery and will try to locate her the next time I am over that way and it is a little cooler than the current mid 90's.

Your Memorial# 43338721 for Mary Jane Daughtrey Scarsborough - She is the d/o Arthur Daughtrey and Mahaney Jernigan, therefore her maiden name IS Daughtrey, and she was only married the once.
You should also change her husband's first name to Jackson with "Jack" as the nickname.

A friend of mine who helps me a great deal Joyce Goodman got a plat map. Bless her heart she found them. Going to JC from 31 go all the way to the last turn in and park just as you go in. They are in that last section on the right next to the highway. I posted the photo but the credit goes to her.

RE: You're just so nice
Me and Loudonia enjoy visting Cemeteries and taking Photo's. Most of the time we combine our trips with overnight Tent Camping stays in State Parks. When not taking photo's, we hike the nature trails and take more photo's. We just got back from a three day trip to Alabama, with four more Cemeteries to list. We have run into a few Grumpy Findagravers also. I guess you will always have the Grumpy's who think they should be rewarded for using their time and gas. They lack the word's "Sharing with Others" in their lives.

Keep up the good work on Findagrave.

RE: A.T. Quarles
Twiggers, Hi how are you? I just received your message re: A.T. Quarles. His name is "Alex" Alexander Thomas Quarles. He was living in Washington, D.C. when he died. Not sure where he is buried. I assumed he was buried in Washington, D.C. -- Did you say in your message that you posted a photo for him? Do you know where he is buried. I certainly hope so. I have never seen my Grandfather . He was my father's father. He was from Jasper, Marion County, Tennessee. I have a lot of Quarles relatives living and buried there. A lot of them are buried in "Baptist Hill Cemetery" in Marion County, Tenn. Are you related to the Quarles'?- Also, I have photographed every grave marker in Baptist Hill cemetery. Have not had time to get them all entered yet. Which cemetery were you talking about? I assumed it was Baptist Hill or another cemetery in Marion County, Tennessee. WHO IS YOUR HUSBAND'S GRANDFATHER? If he is in Baptist Hill Cemetery in Jasper, I can help you out. Let me hear back from you. Thanks for writing. Wanda Crowe
