Bio

My goal has grown from posting just my immediate family and close friends to creating memorials for all my ancestors who were early immigrants to Texas from the Upper Silesia area of Prussian-controlled Poland in the 1850's and their first and second generation descendants.

I am grateful to the researchers of the Panna Maria Historical Society who meticulously profiled hundreds of Polish families in Silesian Profiles. Luckily mine was included.

My deep appreciation to Jim S., a volunteer for Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness (RAOGK.org) in San Antonio, for finding so many documents for my family. He pursued my relatives with energy and intensity, as if they were his own kin.

Special thanks to Polaneczka (FAG contributor) who generously transcribed Polish inscriptions for our family memorials.

Loving cemeteries since I was a little kid, I seem to be drawn mysteriously to photograph gravestones for folks who are not my family, and create memorials for them too. If your relatives fall into this category, let me know.

Special thanks to each and everyone who took photos and posted them for my family - you know who you are.
