Hiram Baker
Hi, I am related to George Harry who married Elizabeth Baker buried in Canby cem Adair Co Ia
I am trying to connect Hiram Baker to my family but no luck so far
in 1895 census Adair Co Ia, Hiram & Leann were neighbors to George Harry & Elizabeth Baker (my gr gr grandparents) George & Jermina Baker were also neighbors
I think Hiram is son of George & Jermina Baker, but not sure
Do you have any Baker family history that you would share?
I live in Des Moines Ia
Would love to share/compare Baker family history with you.

RE: Thomas Spence Boustead
I don't know how the memorials work, but if you want, you can transfer over to me. Just let me know what I have to do. I have not connected any of the other Boustead's in the US to Thomas' father William. William came to North America alone in June 1923 departing from Bolton, England and arriving in Quebec, Canada. He arrived in Buffalo, New York, June 30, 1928. None of his immediate family left England. His father was Tom Boustead and mother was Florence Higson. He had 2 sisters, Florence Boustead Griffin and Irene Boustead Derbyshire. Thomas had 1 son, my husband, William Henry Boustead and we have 3 sons, Thomas Carl, William Bradley, and Joseph Henry and I daughter, Alicia Jeanne. As you can see, there are a lot of Williams and Thomas' in this family.

I have submitted an edit to correct the date of death. This is the grave of my husband's father. He died in 1966, not 1956. His full name is Thomas Spence Boustead, date of birth is October 16, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan. Parents are Helen Nichol Iron Spence and William Boustead. All three are buried in Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetary.

William Kellogg
Hi. Thanks for the great work you have done on findagrave. I noticed a number flipflop on this record. Thought you might want to fix it. Born 1515 and died 1578. At the bottom says burial unknown. But then it looks like a burial was added, but the numbers were flipped. 1758. I've done genealogy for many years and know it is so easy to do, and since I spotted that I just thought you'd want to know.
Again thanks for the amazing work you are doing. It sure helps so many of us. I haven't worked on these lines for over 30 years, and oh my goodness, so much information has become available.

Preserved Kellogg
Thank you so much for posting the photo for Preserved Kellogg. I don't know how I could have missed the notification email 4 months ago! I had started to think there may not be anything left to find. Can you tell me if this is, in fact, in Hillside Cemetery? Thank you!

Glad to be of service! Sometimes the paper records get smudged, and then dates are hard to read.

Thomas Powers Lewis # 5707729

I have posted a photo of what I believe to be the grave marker for Thomas Powers Lewis. There are 5 markers in a neat row starting with Sallie A McMicheal, her daughter Mary Josephine, her son then, Nancy Driskill Lewis and the damaged marker at the end of the row. (That is the photo I sent to you.) I believe thend marker would be her husband, Thomas Powers Lewis, although Thomas married a third time after Nancy died. He married Jemima Lucas on the 1st of December 1791. His first wife was Elizabeth Thompson, they were married the 23rd of January 1795. Thomas married Nancy Driskill the 7th of March 1824.
If this is not his marker I will gladly take the photo down.

re: Lewis relationships
Stephen D. Lewis is my 4th great-grandfather and also my 4th great-granduncle, because his daughter Nancy married his nephew William Thomas Guffin, son of his sister Margaret (Lewis) Guffin. ~ Nancy & William's union makes me my own 6th cousin! ~
Thomas Power(s) Lewis is also a 4th great-granduncle to me.
John Lewis is my 5th great-grandfather and one of my DAR Patriots.
Clear as mud! ~ Barbara
P.S. I have asked Bonnie to correct the birth date for Nancy.

Thomas Powers Lewis # 5707729 and Nancy Driskill Lewis # 5707748 & # 67596765
I may have a photo you might be interested in showing Nancy's grave with, perhaps, that of her husband Thomas Lewis Powers.
Also, Nancy has two memorials - you may want to fix that somehow.
