RE: RE Dicey Jane Roe
Well Gary, I had to check the tree, but she, Amanda had 11 children that are documented.

One with teen spouse, from whom she was widowed.
Three more later, middle spouse.
And 7 with Moore; 5 girls & 2 boys. One boy died as an infant, don't know where he was buried as he was b 1895 & d 1896, some time before his parents died. So-
I thought there was a tall stone with a lot of names on it; but I only find small, lower, individual stones at Find A Grave, so I must have another couple mixed up. Ah, yes, may be the other tree, anyway, she had 11 children that I know of.

In a word Gary, "sort-of"!

She is the mother-in-law of grand aunt.
Grand aunt Amanda RICHMOND mar several times, her last husband was William Washburn Moore, a son of Dicey.

Why the question?

RE Dicey Jane Roe
Hi Gary,

I requested a photo of Dicey's Find A Grave site. I got this reply:

They also reported, specifically:
Per county cemetery inventory, she is buried here but without a marker

Have you tried to contact this resource? Maybe you could find her burial site that way?

She is the mother-in-law of my paternal grand aunt.

If you do succeed, please let me know, I'm still hoping to see her marker on her Find A Grave site!

She was no relation to me. I had taken over some memorials from another person who could no longer keep them. I am glad her memorial is now with family!

Emarine Taylor #62468738
Would you allow me to use your pictures taken in Whaley Cemetery to use in my FTM records?

Also have additional information on Emarine Taylor wife of Wesley Taylor. She was daughter of Robert Bowles and Ann Forman. She was sister of Robert L. Bowles of Marion county.

Also have some additional information on Wesley Taylor #62468775.

I could send you all the info I have or if you would consider transffering Find A Grave records to me, I could add the information.

Thanks -do you mind one more question? How and what part of the cemetery did you find Allie's stone? Have they cleaned up the area? Oops that's two.

Oh, you are so kind to transfer this to me and I appreciate it very much. Thank you!
The picture is so unexpected - how did you ever find it? When we were there it was just overgrown with a few sheep in the enclosure. We were given permission to look around, but it was impossible to find this. Were you able to read any of the rest of the stone? Her sister, Hannah Ann (Smith) Thornburg is also buried there.

Thank you again for your generosity. Could I have your permission to use the photo on my Ancestry tree crediting you?

Sinklear Cemetery

I know that the Sinklear (aka Sinclair) Cemetery in Ralls Co MO is on private property and I don't know who the present owner is. The cemetery was once on the original Isaac Griffin farm and in turn it was turned over to Isaac's youngest daughter Mary Ann 'Annie' Kelly and her family.

If by chance you ever get a chance to go to the cemetery could you use some colored chalk to rub across the names and dates on the gravestone for Oran W Griffin and Bertha Pearl Griffin so that the info can be verified. I have one set of dates but some believe that they should be another set. The chalk will eventually disappear by Mother Nature's help (wind and rain). Some believe it will damage the limestone gravestones but I used it back in the 1980's on some very old ones and today they are still intact and legible because it cleaned the surface area and prevented the moss from growing on it again.

Thank you.

J.H. Forman Family Cemetery
Hello Gary,

I saw that you recently took some photos in this cemetery in Shelby County, MO and I was wondering if you could give me directions to find it? I am traveling from Illinois to NE MO[Shelby County mainly] this Thursday, 13 June and really want to visit this cemetery. You took a photo of my 4th great grandfather's stone and I was thrilled to see it! Thank you.
Also, since you are from the area, I wonder if you have ever heard of the Noblitt Cemetery in Knox County, MO? It is a small family cemetery that is overgrown and on private land I think now. All I have for directions is it is about 30 miles southeast of Edina and on a roadside. Not much to go on.

I hope you can help me and I would be so appreciative.
Thank you,
Michelle Pendleton

Jane King, Mount Olivet Cemetery
Hi, Gary! I corresponded with you about 2 years ago, and provided you with my great grandmother's death date. I was just looking at the entry again, and discovered that it's shown as 1937 instead of 1957. When you get the time, could you make that correction, please? I know you've probably got tons to do, so there's no hurry. I'm just grateful that folks like you help other genealogists by photographing grave sites and make those photos available to those of us who live too far away to do it ourselves. Keep up the great work!
