Nahum Gaskill
Hello Helen! After I found some of the information you've posted on this site, and reading your bio, I wanted to find out if you have a copy of a particular document. It is entitled "Nahum Gaskill of Mendon, Massachusetts: Being a listing of all known descendents of Nahum and Sally (Southwick) Gaskill through the fifth generation." and was compiled by James Martin Holmes of Westborough, MA in 1984. There's lots of good stuff in there. I have a PDF scan of it, so I can e-mail it to you if you don't already have it. Let me know.

Thank you very much for your work on this site.

Harrell Parker
RE: Cola Harrell Parker
Thank you Helen.

I knew your Uncle Alvin Futrell. Him and his family and my family were long time members of Potecasi Baptist Church. I grew up with his two daughters.

My parents bought the headstone I think in the mid 90's. In fact they had everything done. My Dad's sister and her husband did the same thing. I think they all did it at the same time. They are the Seago's who are buried right behind my parents.

I am looking forward to getting involved with Find a Grave. If I can be of any help to you, please let me know.

Thank you again for adding the information about my Dad.

RE: Fairview Cemetery Woodson W. Clemens
Helen, If we are successful in a search for your aunt's marker, you'll have your picture! We drive over to Fairview several times a year as many of my husband's ancestors/relatives are buried there; as we gather family pictures and information we also try to take a picture and/or record information for someone we don't know. So, we are not related to Woodson Clemens but I'm extra glad we took that picture of his marker! My husband is a great grand nephew of Hiram N. Jeffrey's wife Jane so I guess we have an indirect relationship! Your memorial for your aunt is wonderful. You wrote that she was a special education teacher; I'm a retired school based speech/language pathologist! Bye for now. mrs

Hi Helen,
I looked at the photo in question... that wasn't mine, that was from Sykes Funeral Home and the memorial they had for her. I just transferred it from their site to her memorial.

RE: Aulander Cemetery
Ok, I know where Pine Drive is. Next time I'm down there, I'll try again to find it. Yes, I've heard of Eastview Cemetery too. I'm guessing "Aulander Cemetery" is the official name, b/c that's what's always listed in the obits. Thanks for your help :)

Aulander Cem in NC
Hello, I noticed you added some photos of graves in the Aulander Cemetery in Aulander, NC. Do you know what street that cemetery is on?? I was visiting the area earlier this week & wanted to find the graveyard, but I couldn't find it. I was told by someone else that it was on the main road (Commerce Street) that goes past Massey Funeral Home & the school, but I drove about 20 minutes outside of town & never saw anything.
