I am sorry that there was no stone to photograph but the directory verifies that they are buried there and gave the location.

RE: The Houp's Howard & Hazel
You are very welcome for the photos. The Houps rest at the top of a steep slope that overlooks Burbank, CA and the beautiful mountains that surround the San Fernando Valley. Both the Forest Lawn cemeteries in the Los Angeles areas are places where people come to see the mosaics, sculpture, walk the well-groomed grounds as well as visit loved ones buried there. I come from a very dysfunctional family so I truly appreciate what you are doing for you foster daughter in trying to keep at least the memories of her grandparents alive.

If there are any other people you need photographed just let me know. I'll be happy to help in anyway I can.

W. Haskett in Stringer Cemetery
Hello, I am so glad you claimed Mr. Haskett. He has been a mystery to me, this stone all alone and no dates. Obiously a civil war soldier, he needs to have some recognition. Happy Graving and let me know if I can be of any help here in Marshall County.

Gravestone Photo Permission
Thank you for photographing the gravestone of Mary O'Loughlin Alvord in New Elm Ridge Cemetery (Memorial# 122028268).

I would like to add her gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of California Obituaries, where her obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—
Permission granted by the photographer, Claudia Pawson Goodman

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

Jeremy Nicoll
Ella Mae Nicoll Boon Salisbury

I am trying to gather info on Ella Nicoll (she is my GGGrandfather's brother's daughter). I have here marriage record to Donald A Boon, and see her in the census married to Salisbury, but I have none of the other marriages nor any family records. I am also looking for info on her mother Rosa May Wicker. Any help you could give would be great!

RE: Sgt Andrew Jackson Wood
Hello Claudia,

You are so welcome! It was no problem as I live here in the same town as Andrew Wood is buried, he is also buried 2 graves away from my gg grandma.

If you need any other data for Andrew just let me know, there is a small library here in town that does have tons of genealogy and I am sure they have data on Andrew Wood.

Take Care, Thanks for your kind message

RE: Tammy May Fox Dismuke
Hi Claudia,

Yes, I am a member, though I have been unable to really participate in genealogy for the last two years. I did receive loads of good advice and do appreciate the avenues Tammy May and yourself have opened for us.

I'm glad I could show my appreciation, even though it is a small way. She is a true genangel and will be missed by so many.

RE: Jessie
Thank you so much for the excellent picture, and the bonus of her 2nd husband's tombstone, and location in the cemetery. That is going the extra mile! We had heard that the gravesite was overgrown and/or couldn't be found, so it is nice to be able to see and show my husband's sister and others that it is being maintained in good condition.

Bill Stephens
George McFarren @ Topeka Cemetery
Cemetery records show he is buried in section 91 lot 87. There is no marker in that lot. I am posting a photo of the area around Soloman McFarren who is buried one row to the west...his photo shows the empty space where George's marker should be. If you do not want the 'empty' space photo on George's memorial just let me know and I will delete it.

Thank-you for your Kindness
Dear Claudia,

Thank-you more than words can say for the dignity & sensitivity in photographing the final resting place of Effie Catherine Clouse Bentley - #125315384 who had no marker.

I didn't know before that there was no marker where her earthly remains are buried, but I do know that she lives on as a goodness in her many descendants now & for generations to come. That we bring goodness into this world is truly a measure of our greatness, not the size of our marker. So maybe this is fitting because she was a humble & good person - she has a humble & simple grave.

Thank-you also for the beautiful & thoughtful message on her memorial and you did it all just hours after my request for a photo.

Thank-you with all of our hearts,
Ava & the Bentley family
